The photo of Fiona Xie eating the bak chor mee attracted my attention and hence, I went to try the bak chor mee for $3 a bowl. The bak chor mee was average, nothing special, which really made me question why there were so many awards this stall has won. In the bowl of noodles, there were meatballs and one fried wanton. The wanton was pretty good and the meatballs were excellent, QQ and delicious! The char kway teow, again, was very average but the hokkien mee was actually very good! It's probabl

It's probably the best dish offered by the stall but of course, it pales in comparison to the famous hokkien mee stalls out there (E.g Clementi, Boon Lay Hawker Centre etc.) Overall, the stall served average food which will be good if you were hungry but definitely not where you want to patronize if you're looking for a sumptuous and hearty dining experience.

It was one of those days that i have got a crazy crave for fried kway teow. I tried it for the first time from this stall. They fried both the kway teow and the mee well to give it a distinct wok taste before added in the egg, cockles, fishcake and vegetable to fry a little longer together with the fried pork lards to give it the flavor. The texture was nicely moist. It might not be the best fried kway teow that i ever eaten but good to satisfy my craving.
