This stall serves mainly soy sauce chicken in the Chinatown complex, they have perpetually long queue during meal time.We ordered half a chicken to share. It was really good as meat was marinated to the right taste, it was succulent, tender and smooth. I am not a gravy person but I don’t mind to put their soy sauce with the rice, you could taste that their soy sauce isn’t only soy sauce, it has enhanced flavour. It is an above standard soy sauce chicken dish, sure we will come back if we want t

It has got a really interesting name. I chatted with the friendly Auntie. She told me it was named after a good friend of hers. I was there at about 2pm and it left the last chicken. I was lucky to have that chicken. They served only braised chicken with peanuts. This is one of the best braised that i tried. The skin got a nice soya taste with soft and tender chicken meat. I will definitely go back for more.

I don’t know why this stall has such a unique name. The chicken in Maria Virgin Chicken is actually Rose Wine Soy Chicken. The Rose Wine and Soy Sauce got infused into the skin giving it that dark brown color. Initially, I thought its typical roast chicken. When I finally tasted it, I discovered that the skin, unlike roast chicken, was very smooth and due to the Rose Wine Soy Sauce, it was very delicious. This is from some one who does not like to eat chicken skin unless it's grilled or fried.
