The chicken rice is fragrant, tasty and fluffyThe chicken drumstick served in pieces, with the skin and bone intact. Garnished with a few pieces of cucumber. The meat is quite tender, moist and flavourful. From the tenderness of the chicken I could tell that the meat is well poached in such a way that there is no trace of dark red blood secretes from the bones unlike some chicken meat .The usual classic dip of tangy chilli sauce that’s topped with a zingy of ginger sauce goes very well with both the fragrant rice and the poached white chicken.
Soup of the Day has two pieces of maize cobs combined with red dates, one piece of miserable pork rib cooked with goji berries. The soup has a mild taste.The last dish of the Combi Set was a plate of Shanghai Bok Choy. I believe the Bok Choy was cooked in chicken broth that’s where the natural sweetness comes from. Unlike the common preparation of boiled vegetables with oyster sauce topping that are served at foodcourts.
We waited for about 15 minutes before the last dish of Shanghai Bok Choy was served. By the time the vegetable dish came, we almost finished eating the rice and the soup.
For next round, we will order half a chicken instead of the Combi Set.
