Went to outback steak house because of this promotion online for Valentine Day.
We purchased the vouchers & was only able to choose a few of their dishes.
I choose beef chunks & my boyfriend chose some fish dish.
Honestly these 2 dishes aren't good at all.
Instead we really love the soup & the salad. The salad actually converted my boyfriend who is a anti salad guy into salad lover.Quite amazing.
The beef chunks were pretty normal. Not very flavourful. The fish fillet was normal as well.
Despite that,I heard from my colleague that their fried mushrooms are amazing.
Definitely love the ambience though.
Will go there to try other dishes & give a fairer review next time

At outback, bread will be served before your main dish. The bread is long and dark brown with wheat grains on it. The bread is fragrant and taste good. The buffalo wings was well seasoned and very crispy. It was a little spicy too. The best dish of the night was the steak. Just by looking at the dark brown texture and thickness of the steak can make one salivate already. The wellness of the steak was medium. It has a warm, pink center with a touch of red. The service from the staff was good too. They would ask if the steak was cooked properly.

i'm such a bread junkie xD especially when it's as lovely as this one (: it's a pretty unique type of bread, really dark in colour. i guessed it was pumpernickel! but had no way to verify it haha. it was wonderfully soft and fluffy, and tasted good on its own, without the need for any condiments. in fact, i felt that it didn't taste as good after i had spread the butter on it. oh well.
we ordered 3 appetizers and 2 mains because the appetizers just seemed so...APPETIZING! (for the lack of a better word
) the pan-seared darling point crab cakes with remoulade sauce ($14.90) reminded me of the stuffed crabs i ate in malaysia a couple of years ago! they were sooo lovely (: crispy patties with fluffy crabmeat inside it. i love it for the convenience xD and taste of course! the remoulade sauce (no idea what that is) was really tasty!
for some reason, our two other appetizers arrived after the main courses, but no worries, we just ate them all together! ;) the aussie cheese fries with monterey jack cheese and bacon with spicy ranch dressing ($13.90) was voted the best appetizers unanimously among us. the fries were fragrant on their own, and with the cheese, they were just superb!
although the cheese solidified after awhile, but it was still tasty (: and the ranch dressing was an interesting blend of tatar sauce and other things which i couldnt identify.
the buffalo wings ($15.90) on the other hand, were disappointing. we should have ordered the mushrooms instead (another dish on the appetizer list - TRY IT! And tell me how it tastes ;) ). they were just fried chicken wings, which were not at all spectacular. :/ sad.
the pork ribs on the barbie ($32.90) were not bad i guess. i've tried better ones, but this one was pretty good in the sense that the meat was tender and falling-off-the-bone type (: i think the sauce could be improved on though! what i liked most about this was actually the steamed vegetables that came with it haha.
we were pretty shocked at the outback sirloin ($29.90) when it arrived at our table. it looked small! O.O usually steaks are of a pretty standard size aren't they? this one was smaller than usual though, and kind of put me off with it's appearance. but the taste made up for it!
the beef was tender, with just the right amount of fat and juice. and it was wonderfully marinated that i loved it on its own, without having to pour on the brown sauce (which was kinda salty). lovely (:

My Hubby and I went to dine at outback after the PC show. The reason to dine there is because my hubby has craving for steak but i not fantasy over beef. The interior is cosy and cheerful with wooden booth seats for extra privacy. I think food not too bad, price i think abit expensive. I also told my hubby with a little more in price, we can have better food in Angus House, He also agreed. Don't think we will want to go there again.

we ordered a buffalo wings and an outback sirloin to share! the buffolo wings were kind of disappointing as i feel that it tasted like normal chicken wing, nothing spectacular, the outback sirloin looked pretty small but it smell really good as well as it tasted really good as well! it had a brown sauce to go along with it, i tried the steak itself without the brown sauce and it tasted really good. the marinate was very taste, a little sweet not too salty.

the steak was so soft, it practically melted in my mouth! yummy! i strongly suggest u order the steak next time u go and just skip the buffalo wings!

the price for at the steak is abt $29.90 which is quite pricey, but the taste of it is indeed worth the price!
