The crispy crunchy skin crackles as I took the first bite only to reveal the mouth watering fat of the Shao Rou
that sits right below the meat.

The preparation of the pork belly is important once that is taken care the rest of the dish is a snap.

The scoring, blanching and drying of the roasted pork makes this dish sinful, delicious and very moreish.

A good chilli sauce complement the richness of the meat.

The Char Siew marinated in a honey hoisin sauce and roasted is charred, savoury and sticky sweet.

This take away packet cost S$4.00.

This stall is very popular for their BBQ pork (Char Siew) rice. These marinated pork loin strips are skewered and hung in a gas oven to roast. The burners go around the bottom of the metal insulated cabinet and is smokeless. When done the meat are dunked in a honey hoisin sauce. The Char Siew is tender, juicy, moist and a little fatty. The maltose used for seasoning the Char Siew gives the pork that sticky sweet taste and texture. I have also added BBQ Pork Ribs (Pai Kuat Wong) to my order.

The Char Siew is tender, juicy, moist and a little fatty. The maltose used for seasoning the Char Siew gives the pork that sticky sweet taste and texture.

I have also added BBQ Pork Ribs (Pai Kuat Wong) to my order. Preparation process is similar to Char Siew except the pork used are ribs. These smoky pork ribs are succulent, tender and finger licking good. The BBQ pork ribs are cut in such a way that its slice thinly and easier to eat. Topped with very generous of toasted white sesame seed added more fragrant to the ribs. A packet of special sauce to complement both types of meat completes the meal.
Both BBQ items are well glazed, slightly sweet with a deep, smoky flavor and a red glazed.

Indeed juicy, savoury in every bite as advertised.

Priced at S$5.50.

The chilli sauce that came along has a strong taste of ginger combination and goes well with the duck.
