Sakae Sushi (Closed)

I really like sushi..!!!Especially the octopus.Last time,i thought octopus is very disgusting,so i dont dare to eat.But my friend keeps recommending to me,so i try it..!It is really nice..!It is very juicy and flavourful.The other sushi is also nice,but it is just normal,same as other shop one.The chawanmushi is also normal.not very nice.But i really enjoy it,especially the egg one.It is very smooth and soft,it is softer than jelly.The mushroon inside really mix well with the water steamed egg.T

appetizer: Edamame bean ($2.29)Boiled green vegetable soybeans in the pod.At first i thought this whole thing can be eaten but my friend told me that i should only eat the beans inside.My yummy octopus!! Some not dare to try this red thing but it is actually very nice!Crunchy and chewy octopus with dono what gravy.Kimuchi ramen ($11.99)Tasty kimchi flavour soup broth with chewy ramen and other ingredients.

Soft shell crab handrollSudden craving for sushi so I headed to Sakae Sushi for lunch.the soft shell crab is very crispy and fragrant!The rice is very perfectly seasoned and cooked with the tasty nori (seaweed).Although I was having lunch here, but this two handroll already make me 80% full.

The standard of sakae sushi have dropped !! They used to have nice sushi but now it just tasted " SO SO"The green tea was so blended,tasteless Their sushi seaweed was soggy,not crispy The only thing that is still the same was their "soft shell crab"Crispy & soft .However the size of the crab have decreased but price increased !!

Chawanmushi!!!!A variety of sushi and wide range of japanese food is what Sakae Buffet offers to its customers.At only 17 ++ (After adding GST), you get to eat all of this! There's also student price for the buffet, making it more worthy for the money you spent!However, it was rather disappointing when i visited the city hall's outlet. It was another lazy Sunday. Spoilt for choice, my friend and i decided to have a simple dinner at Sakae Sushi at the City Link Mall Link outlet.I ordered the black pepper beef bowl, but was really taken aback my the amount of black pepper in the dish! The meal was way too spicy for my liking, due to the fact that the chef overdid the black black pepper.

I remember the first sushi restaurant I’ve been to was sakae sushi. Was totally amazed by the conveyor belt thing, well, that was very long ago haha. Anyway, love their ordering method. So efficient and fast! And kind of hygenic too as your food is prepared as you order it. Their buffet is also very worth it! Absolutely love their sushi!

It was time for lunch again and my friends and i decided to dine at Sakae Sushi for the Sakae Buffet !I was quick to order the Soft shell Crab Han droll in Sakae Sushi, which was my favorite hand roll, hands down. I like how the soft shell crab was battered to give it the crispy, yet maintaining its flavor. I also enjoyed the Japanese mayo they added to the hand roll, and the shredded cucumber provided a refreshing taste!

Having a CNY potluck at a friend's house. So one of my friend bought a sushi party tray when she passed by city link when she is around that area.Wow, the sushi party tray really look so tempting with around 50pcs of sushi! Most of the sushi are nice and rather fresh. But I especially love the dragon roll, california sushi, unagi sushi and salmon sushi. Yummy!

The fried tofu comes in 3 pieces and it costs $4.90 per plate. The tofu is smooth and silky, it definitely taste much better than the usual tofu (2 pieces for $1.90) kind. Though it’s more expensive, I think it’s worth the price. The service staff seems very blur when we asked questions about the menu, it’s either they don’t know the menu well or they had bad command of English. The ambience is nice and is great for a chilling and dinner session.
