Snack Stall - NYP South Canteen (Closed)

prata sausage rollHands down, my most favourite prata sausage stall! I love how crunchy their normal plain prata is! Their egg prata is also one of my favourite. the prata sausage is very savoury and flavourful. It’s rectangular in shape and big, and the egg is placed right at the center. My personal favourite! With their wide variety of prata, you’ll surely come back for more!

The fried cai tau kuey doesn't look like the one sold as outside. It's fried into a mould with some egg. But it's okay, the egg flavour quite fragrant. There are pork floss and mayonnaise . The combination of pork floss and friend cai tau kuey tasted better than i imagined. I will ordered this food again.

I always skip my lecture and go out to have a walk.And i really like the snack stall.Because the food is cheap and have many choices.I like the cheese tofu.It cost $1 one stick.The tofu is very soft and it got cheese taste.It is a bit like the taste of fishball.The wedges is also not bad.but always eat this kinds of food is no good.But i really like it.

shui kwey is my all time favourite snack. This stall used to be one big name in chwee kuey but no more these days. I was happy to see no queue in front of this stall when i was there. I ordered only 5 for $1.00. The chye po is lacking of nice fragrant and not very salty but the kueh was steamed nicely. I have eaten nicer one so i do not find theirs very nice now.

Chee cheong fun $0.70 for a pairThe "fun" (so called flour noodle) is chewy but tasteless, so it's to eat together with the gravy. The gravy is sweet and fragrant with strong sesame seed oil, so those who don't like sesame seed oil smell may not like this. The chilli is quite nice, spicy and makes the dish not plain with sweet taste. Overall okay and filling as snack.

Siew mai ($1.2 for 2 pieces)A bit expensive. one siew mai for $0.60. The chillies is nice to eat with the siew mai. The pork stuffs inside is tasty too.Chui kway ($1 for 5 pieces)The chui kway is relatively cheap, only $0.20 for one. This plate of chui kway can actually become my lunch already. so full after eating. The caipo is crunchy and flavourful, nice to eat with tasteless chui kway. The chillies is spicy but nice!

This is my favorite afternoon tea time snack! I like it very much because they served it hot and very suitable for me after i left a very cold lecture theatre. The sauce is just nice for me because it is not sticky or very sweet. The chee cheong fun itself is very smooth. I will request for more sesame because I like the sesame fragrance.

I was rushing to school on time, so i bought this bun for myself as my breakfast. It didnt really satisfy my stomach because the size of the bun is so small! YA! im a big eater ): i can eat rice or noodles for my breakfast. i can eat more than three meals a day! Okay, back to the bun.. hmm, the bun is soft and a lil sweet. i like the taste of the hotdog, abit of saltiness here and there. It cost less than a dollar if im not wrong. i don't eat this frequently. but the price is acceptable.

this is 'fan cai' steamed rice which is similar to 'glutinous chicken rice' (luo mai gai). I simply like to eat the rice as it is a good choice for me to eat during my school lesson break time or breakfast. after i ate this, i won't feel hungry or rather too full. and char siew meat on top of the steamed rice were well marinated too~

It is yam bun. Its appearance is appealing as it is purple in color. Perhaps lesser coloring can be added. It is taste just a very normal bun. The filling inside is not sweet too. And I only can detect a little bit of yam flavour from the filling. It is $0.60 for one.

This stall sells various snacks like tutu kueh, tapioca cake, peanut mua chi, etc. I had a cup of buttered sweet corn for tea the other day. It is cooked (steamed) to the right temperate, warm enough. Sometimes I'd request for some salt for more flavor. The auntie is really friendly and occasionally would make small talks with you. I’d definitely come back here for more snacks since it is so convenient anyway.
