Located in the foodcourt, there is this mini korean restaurant. The restaurant has one of the best seats in the food court. (JEON GOL) Hot Pot ($17.90/ pork version)
The dish has meat, vegetable and glass noodle in a special sauce Hot Pot. Besides pork version, there is chicken, beef, spicy sausage (spam ham, tofu) and Kimchi versions with prices ranging from $17.90 to $19.90. It is a 2 persons serving. The dish is served with a gas stove to keep the food hot. It comes with 2 side dishes. Please note that rice is not included and each bowl of rice costs $1. The soup is quite flavourful and we even request for a refill of soup. The pork is thinly sliced and very tender. It looks a bit dark, could be due to seasonings. There is lots of shredded vegetables and tofu inside the hot pot.

(GO DEUNG EO- Mackerel) Saba Fish ($6.30)
This dish usually costs $8.90, but due to special promotion it now costs $6.90. It is served with a bowl of rice and 2 side dishes. The fish is quite tasty on its own that there is no need for the soya sauce to dip with.

Pork Belly ($9.90)
This is one of the dishes in the Sol Le Me Special menu. It is served with bean paste, seaweed soup, rice and 2 side dishes. Although the sliced pork belly looks quite fatty, but it tastes quite alright especially when dipped with the bean paste.

For the side dishes, there is 3 choices to select from. There is kimchi, tofu with bean paste and deep fried peanuts and small fish. Little JJ likes the peanuts the best as it has a crunchy and sweet crust taste.

Jujube Tea ($2.50)
Lastly we end the meal with Jujube Tea which is served in a clear glass cup. A sweet and fruity tea.

Overall food is not bad, with friendly staffs to serve us. And also no GST and service charge here.

I ordered the Saba Fish set from this Korean Food stall at the Food Junction and I must say that I'm quite impressed. For just about $6, they gave a generous portion of fish, with rice, soup and 2 side dishes. Definitely value for money. They also gave a saucer of high quality soya sauce which enhances the taste of the Saba fish without being too salty. For the side dishes, I especially like the cold soft tofu with Korean miso paste. We ends the meal with hot sweet Jujube Tea ($2.50) which is made from the sweet, olive-shaped fruit of the jujube tree. Very flavourful. Overall good food at wallet friendly prices.

Tried the Saba set from the Korean Cuisine stall at Sembawang Shopping Centre's Kopitam and it was really nice! The Saba came piping hot and the skin and some of the corner parts were crispy and salty. I like it alot.Service was not bad as well. We order 2 sets and so we were entitled to 4 side dishes, and the staffs had the initiative to give us 4 different side dishes instead of 2 sets of 2 same side dishes. Will come back for the Saba. Love the Saba.

Ok yes, it does not look appetizing but the taste is there. When eaten, it does not taste a oily as how the appearance says it will. Furthermore, the soup is not very spicy to the extent that normal people can't stand. I could stand it and hope it could be more spicy. The ingredients inside are more than enough and soft enough to be consume even by elderly . Overall, it would be good without most of the oil XD.

I went to eat this Korea Cuisine located at Food Junction of Sembawang Shopping Centre. I went to eat this Korea Cuisine located at Food Junction of Sembawang Shopping Centre. It was newly open when I first went there and there are different stores like "Dim Sum", "Japanese" and "Western". I was particularly attracted to the "Korea" Cuisine. I went over to see the menu and the "Beef Hot Plate" captured my attention. I know picture are for illustration but it really did look nice. So I sat down with my friend and ordered this. I was excited when they said if we wanted the beef to be cooked inside the kitchen or to be cook in front of us by the chef. Of course, we had chosen the second option to be cooked in front of us. However, somehow they apologize to us and said that the beef was already cooked so we could not cooked the beef for you outside. This was a great disappointment. The beef was fairly cooked which we didn't expect that. You can also chose to top up with rice or glass noodles. We top it up with glass noodles. I like the glass noodles as it is soft. In addition, they also provide side dishes with 2 fruit salad which consists of grape, apple and corn/carrot bites, fried "dou fu" with sauce, spinach and fried sweet potato.
The fruit salad was just fruity. However, the salad dressing was a little too much. I didn't like the fried "dou fu" though, it was a little bit too dry. However, I especially like the fried sweet potato. Even though it's fried, the sweet potato taste remained.
.
In addition, we ordered the "Spicy Stir-fried Rice Cake". In general, it is passable. However, they include alcohol in it. It might not be suitable for consumption for children. The alcohol was quite strong in general in it which you can only taste the alcohol but not the spicy sauce. We didn't managed to finished it.
Lastly, to top it up, we ordered the Grape Juice. Two cans of it can fit one cup. There are really whole grape fruit in it. When you drink it with a straw, it will turn to smaller pieces to go through the straw for consumption. It was delightful as I though I would need to pour the cup to eat the grape but it didn't need to go through the trouble as the grape was soft enough to go through the straw.
Overall it's just so-so. However people who like alcohol may try the "Spicy Stir-fried Rice Cake". You might like it!

Doenjang Chigae is simply bean paste soup. Korean loves sauces and many a times, what caused the difference in their soup is the paste they made. Bean paste is salty on it own and very healthy as it is made from bean, The main taste of the soup comes from the paste itself. Doenjang Chigae served here is delicious but slightly too salty. There are tofu, prawns and clams inside. Try it!
