Dunno why I have never eaten at Thai Accent despite being in Vivo for countless times. Dad wanted to bring his client to Thai place for dinner and decided to go to a nearby place from Harbourfront. These were good stuff:
• Sambal Kang kong
• Pineapple Rice
• Thai Fishcake
• Deep fried fish
• Green Chicken Curry

This was ok lah:
• Pandan Chicken

Didn't expect this restaurant to serve quite decent spread. Can give Thai Express a run for its money. Save to say its more costly here too.

there was this incident which left an impression on me. One of the waitress actually split the drink on the floor which cause the glass cup to be shattered and the bits of it actually hit near our table.

The manager was so efficient and upon seeing that immediately brought serviettes over to our table and apologised for that. Every waiter/waitress who walked by our table also came to apologise to us and that left me feeling very impressed!

Moving on to the food, i always eat their pineapple rice whenever i am here because it comes in a huge portion and it is very nice. My friend ordered the phat thai and i tried a bit of it and felt that it was really nice too.

Would love to try their tom yam soup the next time and also their pork ribs as seen from the reviews below.

One thing i noticed is that their prices seemed to have increase as i remembered it was cheaper the previous times i came by. But for good service and good food, i will still be back!!!

I love the soft shell crab with garlic!! Very fragrant and really yummy! We also ate the pineapple rice, spring roll and tom yam soup (a bit spicy). Overall a satisfactory meal. I like the outdoor dining area where it faces the Sentosa bridge and Resort World area. Very romantic for a date.

Phad Thai is the Thailand version of our "Char Kway Teow". Compared to the thick usual kway teow we used to eat, this is a lot more thinner and softer. It is a very simple dish with prawns. They even have chilli powder at the corner of the plate. The noodles is a little spicy and salty. Prawns are fresh and tender. Not that bad. I give it a 8/10.

Minced Beef with Kway Teow in tomato based sauce. The beef is pretty soft and tender very different from what it looked like. Same goes to their noodles. It comes in a pretty big portion and cost only $12.90. Price is reasonable! I also ordered their Clear Tom Yam Soup. A must have when you stepped into Thai restaurant Cost is on the steep side as one bowl cost $9.90!! But it's good! Sweet, sour a tad of saltiness and spicy! All in one. Nice and shiok!

the sambal kingkong was great, the spiciness just hit the spot. the kang kong was crunchy and the sambal was not too oily.

the claypot tofu went very well with the pineapple rice as the gravy was thick and tasty.

there were 2 kinds of seating, the indoor or the outdoor, my friends and i chose the outdoor seating to enjoy the cool breeze. as a whole, it was very comfortable to sit and chill out after eating.

MUST TRY: Tom Yum Goong garnished with coriander leaves! Thai Accent offers 2 version. The thick broth or the clear soup. We got the thick one which is spicier! They are very generous with the use fragrant herbs as we can smell the aromatic lemongrass and lime leaves as soon as the soup is served on the table. Extremely appetizing. Oh and this soup dish goes extremely well with the fragrant white rice. Yes, rice is free flow here! Don’t you love restaurants that are generous? *applauds*

The last time we came, we ordered the Green Curry Chicken. Zany of us to do that because just like the Tom Yum, we enjoyed having it with rice. So this time, we got smarter and got ourselves the Baked Honey Pork Ribs which was absolutely titillating!

Seriously, this is the best thai restaurant in SG.

The Mango Salald is too sour for my liking. But it’s a hit for my wifey. The thai sauce in the veg salad create a pungent strong enough to ward off all spirits. Lol. For sour fans, you can give this a try =)

Mango Sticky Rice is a great dessert to end of the dinner. But always rem to ask the waiter if the mango is sweet or not. If it is not, they will alway let you know and recommend other desserts instead.

We also ordered the Tapioca in coconut milk. The tapioca is just the right texture. Neither too soft nor too hard. But you got to dip it in the coconut milk to get the best combo. I knew I have "won" it AGAIN.

And in the end, I won the world cup

The ambience is good and the service is excellent.

For 5 people, we ordered

Tom Yam Seafood Soup - S$9.90
Crispy Garoupa with Thai Chilli Sauce - S$28.90
Pandan Leaf Chicken(4pcs) - S$12.90

The much-heard-of TOM YAM seafood soup and its heavenly. The soup is fresh, sour and spicy all at one go. Not for the faint-hearted, pls. One sip and you will be knocked out just to get up again and ask for more.
Garoupa is served in thai style with ample toppings. The fish is fresh and so crispy that we actually ate the bones. Wonder if we are suppose to do that.

Not a chicken fan but the big chuck of chicken meat grilled in pandan leaf makes it fragrant on the outside and soft on the inside.

No space for desserts anymore but will definitely come back for them!
