Towfoo with Oyster Sauce - toufu was soft and I was expecting the portion to be smaller.

the set also comes with 2 bowls of Rice and soup. Overall, the price is reasonable as it includes a few side dishes. We waited for about 10 minutes for order to arrive.

Being a frequent visitor at Vivo City I often walked past The chicken Rice Shop. As angmokia mentioned, the decoration somehow makes you think of it as a fast food place, such as Texas Chicken and KFC. However, when I walked past it one day the poster on the set meal caught my eye so I went to take a good look at what the menu was exactly serving. I was pleasantly surprised that it in fact touts itself as being healthy (alright except the chicken rice itself) by serving chicken breast meat, tofu

We ordered the Double Delight, which cost us around $25:

Nyonya Pai Tee (Regualar)
Personal Portion of Chicken** Choice of Steamed, Roast or Soy Sauce
Prime Honey BBQ Chicken
Ipoh Bean Sprouts or Kailan (Regular)
Sai To Fish Balls (Regular) or Tofu with Oyster Sauce
Two bowls of Chicken Rice
Soup of the Day
12oz Soft Drink (Two)

In terms of taste, I liked the roast chicken breast more than the BBQ chicken. Actually the latter even tasted a little weird to me because they try to replicate the chinese char siew kind of sauce which was way too sweet for this dish. The Nyonya Pie Tee was alright only, as the shell was a little too hard for my liking. The vegetables was simple and normal but i did like the tofu though. It had some dried shrimps on top of it which made a difference to the simple dish.

Overall a nice family restaurant that has value for money meals.

My uncle has treated my whole family for lunch at the famous Chicken rice shop at Vivocity. Fortunately not much crowds inside the shop, which make our visit more comfortable and the environment is also not too noisy. Foods served to us very prompt and the service was just alright. Both the white and roasted chicken meats are tender and juicy. Especially their chilli sauce is really appetitizing and goes very well with the chicken meat. Rice is also fragrant and not too oily.

The Chicken Rice Shop is originated from Malaysia thus it is halal. Once you step in, you will see groups of family enjoying the set meal instead of the plain chicken rice itself because it is really value for money! Even if you go in alone or in pair, there's set meal cater to everyone!

Was craving for chicken rice and since i was at vivo city with my friends, we decided to try eating chicken rice at the chicken rice shop. We order many things to share, chicken, Vegetable, tofu, kueh pie tee, and they were really good! The food were not too oily, the taste and fragrant are there.

I went to the chicken rice shop with a couple of friends. Initially we wanted to order individual portions but after looking at the menu. We found it more economical to order the family fiesta. Our group had 6 people so it was just right. The family fiesta had so many dishes as compared to the single set and we paid around or slightly cheaper than the single set. We had pai tee, gado gado, half a chicken, assam fish, kai lan with oyster sauce, ipoh bean sprouts, towfoo with oyster sauce, stuffed

i decided to give the Chicken Rice Shop a try. foodwise, it tasted rather common, but i find the assam fish quite tasty. the fish was fresh, sweet and went really well with the assam gravy due to its freshness. the gravy was not too spicy yet tasty at the same time. the pai tee was quite good, the shells was crunchy and the ingredients inside was tasty. such a pity they only gave 2 in their set meal.the price of each set meal is very pricey, a chicken rice set can hit up to $12plus... they also

the price of each set meal is very pricey, a chicken rice set can hit up to $12plus... they also got 2 pax set meals, 3-4 pax set meal and 5-6pax set meal. i would strongly recommend to go in a bigger group as the set meal will have more food and u will be paying about the same price as the single set meal.

i am just a little put back by the price cos i feel that i could get cheaper chicken rice at the Kopitiam foodcourt just next door.
