If you're a dessert lover like me, you HAVE to try this manhattan mudpie. It has a very cakey taste but at the same time,it tastes like ice cream too. It comes drizzled with chocolate sauce and wee bit of nuts on top. After I took one mouth of it, I felt like I was in heaven. It really was THAT GOOD!Now,if only they served it with a scoop of ice cream...wouldn't that be lovely? ;)

The baked fish is wrapped in an aluminium foil and the best part about the fish is that it's not dry and it has a bit of gravy with it. For someone who likes a bit of gravy with their rice and meat, this is definitely for them! If you're someone who cannot take spicy food, fret not! The gravy isn't spicy!

The rice portion might be abit little for those with a big appetite though. For those who still feel hungry after that, you can add on a bowl of garlic herb rice which the manhattan menu serves. As for the vegetables that come with the set, its only partially cooked and vegetables are meant to be eaten like that anyway!

i love the fish and chips at manhattan fish market. i simply love the sauce that they drizzle on top of the fish. it gives it an extra flavour. the fries are very chunky, nice to eat. they even bothered to season the fries so it will not taste so bland!

The prawns tasted really weird to me personally, as i prefer savory prawns to 'cheesy-sweet' ones. Hmm...

The grilled fish was alright, although a bit thin, nothing really special. The rice was hard, they could have cooked it longer, however the fries were good.

Overall, the service was good, although the food might just be average

Truth to be said, throughout all this years of my life, I've never tried Mahattan Fish Market before. Hence, I went with a friend to try this out. Mediocre fish and chips, I believe there's a lot of room for improvement. The dory fillet is big, but that streak of sauce is definitely not enough. Fries are so-so, fish is so-so, and the worst part?It doesn't come with any veggies.I'm not really a vegetable person but isn't it essential to have salad along with fish and chips? Like coleslaw? I'm not really a vegetable person but isn't it essential to have salad along with fish and chips? Like coleslaw? Definitely overpriced.

Manhattan Fish Market is often seen as the seemingly closest rival to the other big player fish and chips restaurant company, Fish & Co. The crab bisque is nice and the crunchy fragrance breadcrumbs on the top of the crab bisque add more marks for the crab bisque. The calamari is fried till its crispy and the herbs that stick on the calamari will make you forget all the disgusting calamari that you ever tried before. As always, the rice is delicious, made me want to ask for more but the serving for this platter is quite big for 2 persons. Moreover, the 4 big fake crab claws which it is bigger than my ears taste good. You can find the real crab inside.

The fries are good! We spent like almost 2 hours eat there but the fries are still crispy. How could it stay crispy that long? I’ve tried my biggest effort and finished the fries!

The Manhattan Fish market would be another place to explore if you love seafood and if you want a place that is halal certified. However, i will not compare it with Fish & Co because the taste and quality of food is different. It may look the same (especially the seafood platter) but they serving and taste pale in comparison. The frilled fish looks undercooked and doesn't seem that grilled. The Seafood Creamy Pasta was too rich and my BF couldn't even finish it even though he likes creamy stuff.

The Seafood Creamy Pasta was too rich and my BF couldn't even finish it even though he likes creamy stuff.

The only redeeming item we ordered was the Pacific Dory Fish & Chips.
For it's size, it was a value for money (only $9++) and the fish was quite fresh.
But other than that, i think i'll stick with Fish & co.

Tried the Dory Fish and Chips which was surprisingly good.
The fish was perfectly fried with it's skin left crispy and fragrant.
WIth a zest of lemon on it, it's a near perfect fish & chips for me!

The standard fries that serve with it was very normal.

We came here during dinner time, and there was a short queue outside the restaurant. Luckily we didn't have to wait very long to get a seat.

The restaurant was pretty crowded and noisy as usual.

We ordered the Manhattan fish and chips, Baked fish in garden herbs, Fried calamari, and topped up for the soup of the day and iced tea.

The soup of the day was Calamari-Asparagus. There wasn't much taste of calamari or asparagus, but tasted more like cream of chicken, except for the presence of a few calamari rings.

Manhattan fish and chips - you can never go wrong with this. A large fish fillet fried in batter. Very crispy and not too oily.

Baked fish in garden herbs - yummy, although it certainly didn't look very appetizing when served - the fish is baked in aluminium foil, the rice looks plain. After tasting the fish, it definitely made up for its appearance. The flavor of the garden herbs was strong and blended in well with the fish. Thumbs up!

The service was prompt and the waiters were friendly. They were quick to take our orders and were not displeased with our additional requests. The only minus point is that the restaurant can get really noisy.
