The server who served us has a very soft voice, I had a hard time trying to decipher what she was trying to tell us. The dining area was a bit squeezy and I was not very confortable. Their cheese fries cost about $5 and if you want to have more cheese, it is available at roughly $2 which i do not think it's worth it. Their fries were the usual straight cut kind and not crispy, I would rate their fries as average, it is ok to give it a miss!Their seafood platter was on $10 discount and I ordered

 Their seafood platter was on $10 discount and I ordered to it give it a try. Their butter rice was fragrant and yummy, the fish was so-so, the calamari was awful because it was hard and when you bite onto it, you either get the calamari out or the batter out. The fried oyster was disappointing and had a weird smell, the prawns were not bad considering if you eat it with the sauce and the vegetables were just totally inedible. This dish had me sick fast although it was shared among three adults. I wouldnt recommend this dish and I feel that this seafood platter doesnt seem to live up to its price of $37.95.

Manhattan fish market as the name suggest is famed for their fishes. But I highly recommend the spaghetti and side dishes such as fried mushroom as they were really deli. But this time round I gave the main courses a miss and focused on their desserts instead.
I ordered the Manhattan Mud Pie for a price of $4.90. For the price, it is considered very reasonable.
When the plate arrived, I could think was that they shouldn't use a big plate because it makes the cake smaller than it seems. The top layer was rich chocolate cakes while the bottom layer was chocolate ice-cream.

At first bite, the sweetness and taste of chocolate was so strong and thick. Mmm... Definitely for people with a sweet tooth and a passion for chocolatey chocolates.
Although I'm a sweet tooth person, I couldn't finish it because it was way too sweet for me. No wonder the portion was small, because it can really make one sick and tried of it.
But do give it a try and share it with friends. It will make your meal feel more complete

To celebrate the end of my exams, me and my best friends went to eat at Manhattan Fish Market @ Jcube, which is located upstairs at the 4th floor, above the ice-skating rink.

We were asked if we preferred to be seated inside or outside, and we chose to sit outside. We sat at a table overlooking the ice-skating rink, which was a wonderful view to look at whenever we are bored. A waitress came over to explain to us the promotions, set lunches available, but she was quite inaudible and spoke too fast. It doesn't really matter anyway because most of the things are quite self-explanatory.

Later, we ordered the Weekday Set Lunch ($19.90 for 2 Cheesy Fish & Chips) and a Dory Fish & Chips set lunch. The Weekday Set Lunch included one Main Course (Cheesy Fish & Chips) and Soup of the Day (Mushroom Soup). You have to top-up for a drink. However, the separate set lunch only included the Main Course. The total cost came up to $14 each, and so please get even-numbered of friends if you want to eat at Manhattan.

Nevertheless we split the soup so it's kind of fair to all of us

 The serving of the Cheesy Fish & Chips was too big even for starving people like us. We should have bought 2 set lunches and shared among ourselves ;D There was mayonnaise and veggies to go along. The fries was delicious, while the outer layer/skin of the fish was a bit too fried - and hence also kind of repulsive - for my liking (my friend echoes the same sentiments) and we dug out the insides to eat instead. The insides of the fish were super soft and succulent which is good. They can improve on the outer layer to achieve a better overall effect. The veggies are ordinary... I don't like veggies and this is not very nice so I didn't continue eating after one mouthful :X

 The Mushroom Soup was very lovely, there was lots of mushrooms in there and I loved every bit of it! Maybe I ate all of the soup, that's why I was a bit too full for the rest of the main course... but trust me, you will want to order that soup!


We ordered Ice-Lemon Tea for the drinks (not much choices, either Lemon Tea, or Coke or Sprite, I think.) and it was quite refreshing. It's the type with real lemons + tea rather than those canned drinks type of lemon tea. Not bad


Overall, the experience here is quite lovely.

I ordered 'Light' for this Cream of Chicken Spaghetti. The portion was really really very small, like kids' meal. So if you do order spaghetti, order regular! It's more worth it too, a few more dollars and the portion is much bigger. This spaghetti is super super delicious! I love the chicken, the taste is simply divine!!! I think they grilled the chicken therefore it's like nicer than the normal chicken. The spaghetti is super nice too, there's like cheese coated on every strand, so every mouth

I ordered this Cream of Mushroom Soup as I felt like having something hot that warms up my stomach. And, this soup is delicious It is a little different from the other mushroom soups I had in other restaurants. This soup is more starchy but it still tastes nice. The mushroom inside were generous too, there were mushroom in every sip The portion is average and can fill up half of my tummy already. The service is average and the waiting time is super super long even for a soup

It was my first time at The Manhattan Fish Market after reading some positive food reviews about Manhattan Fish Market. I was sat at next to the glass panel and the whole skating rink was in my line of vision. How lucky I am


There have this seafood platter promotion for 2 pax and 4 pax. If you order the promotion platter they have 2 complimentary soup of the day and garden salad. They also have a 1-for-1 promotion for their mocktails and 50% off any sides.
We ordered the fried platter for 2 despite having 3 pax. The fried platter includes fried fish nuggets, shrimps, calamari and fried country mushrooms, served on a bed of Garlic Herb Rice and chips with broccoli and carrots.
As we are afraid insufficient food to go around, we ordered another pasta - chick oglio.

The fried platter was surprisingly very good!
It was the best fried seafood I had ever eaten in my life. The fish was very crispy on the outside and tender and moist inside. It didn't have the unwanted fishy smell. The rest of platter tasted as good as the fish too! The french fries were very tasty too! It was the thick and fat fries instead of those skinny ones. Best fries I'd ever eaten! In conclusion: the seafood platter is impeccable. ^0^

Although Manhattan Fish Market serves mostly seafood, I must say that their chicken aglio oglio was also very delicious. The chicken wasn't overcooked and it was tender and succulent. The spaghetti wasn't too oily and it was perfect aglio oglio I am looking for!
Found the aglio oglio of my life, it had a strong black pepper taste, not too oily, the spaghetti was also springy and not overcooked.

Well, the garden salad was normal. Nothing to be excited about.
For the mocktails, we ordered the ruby ___ *i forgot the name* and cala cala. I prefer cala cala as it was a little sour and more refreshing. It was also compatible with the fried food I'd eaten, helps to clear my oily palate
. The ruby drink was too sweet for my liking and it tasted like bandung.


After finishing the meal, my conclusion was, I would definitely want to go back to Manhanttan Fish Market again!
