My only grip is that there was some gelatine bits in the cheesecake. The digestive cookie base was also really wet, but i think it is not a bad thing as i prefer soft texture.

Overall, it is a really refreshing dessert that you can have even after a very full meal. I would recomend you to dine in as they charge an additional 50cents for takeaway box.

I will be back for their sushi that have received many positive feedback.

Working near Far East Plaza has its amazing perks. Apart from the mini devil's playground (a.k.a the inexpensive clothing outlets), Far East Plaza offers a wide variety of food to choose from and thankfully enough, almost all options are easy on the wallet. If one does not dare venture out to the hidden corners of the 30-year-old mall, one may not know the existence of a place called The Sushi Bar.

The Sushi Bar is a small, cosy restaurant hidden in a corner of the shopping mall, surrounded by hair salons. The restaurant is big enough to accommodate no more than 26 patrons, and they even have seats at the sushi bar, where you can watch the chefs prepare fresh sushi – an entertaining sight indeed! The tables in the outlet were a little bit narrow and uncomfortable, but nevertheless, with the nostalgic music that they played, the ambiance won me over.

As we settled down in our seats, a friendly waiter took our orders for drinks first as we browsed through the menu for our main course. Their menu range is not as extensive as some well known Japanese franchises but it’s enough for you to ponder over which to get. One dish that caught my attention was the Tofu Cheesecake, which was definitely interesting enough for me to decide on! Soon enough we also decided on the Chicken Katsu, Salmon Sashimi and Salmon Avocado Roll.

It took only 5-10 mins for our food to arrive. I thought the presentation of the food was pretty nice. Loved how they formed the wasabi into a leaf shape. The sushi was nicely and evenly cut. The Chicken Katsu was simple but satisfying for the tummy. Thankfully the chicken wasn't over-fried or too oily, and the rice was sticky enough for me to eat with nothing else but chopsticks - usually it would always crumble before I can get the bunch of grains into my mouth!

The waiter actually took the initiative to serve us our Tofu Cheesecake only after we were done with our mains. Looking at the dish from far in the hands of our waiter, I seriously thought it was plain tofu. It's not the normal cheesecake colour which is usually pale cream, it’s actually as fair as real tofu. It’s soft, silky and surprisingly not too sweet. Another pleasant surprise! I honestly enjoyed every spoonful of the crumb-base cheesecake. It’s good for those with diabetes; you don’t have to worry about the sugar level and it’s healthy! Tofu- yo!

The total bill came up to $28.40. Not easy on the wallet compared to other restaurants in Far East Plaza, but hey, all in all, it was gooood and so worth it! Without a doubt, I'll be back
