I went to AMK Hub for lunch today. I am quite upset because my favorite stall of selling Hong Kong roasted meat has closed down and the stall owner of Japanese Shabu Shabu has changed also. Luckily, this XO Noodles is still around. Usually I order ‘xiao wan mian’ with ‘mi tai bak’. I always request to put the ‘mi tai bak’ in the soup and they will do it for me. I like the soup. It is very sweet. It is full of great taste of bar chor. When I don’t feel enough, I request to top up. And of course,

I ordered the XO minced meat noodles. Not sure what they mean by XO, but it taste pretty much like normal minced meat noodles. The noodles were springy and cooked well. They had the fried meatball instead of the usual normal ones, and that was something a little more special and different. The fried dumpling was crispy too. Apart from these and a slightly tastier sauce for the noodles, I think I would not travel all the way here for these noodles.

I had breakfast here this morning and ordered myself their hotpot soup with noodles. At $4/-, it was a real waste of my money. The noodles were tasty and the serving portion was rather decent. However, it wasn't as QQ as i would have like it to be.The hotpot soup was a a major disappointment. While the soup was quite nice, there was hardly any ingredients in it. All i got was one fishball, one meatball, one pathetic slice of fishcake, one egg, barely-there small bits of pork and a 2 lettuce leave

I have been to another place in AMK selling the same thing and the portion is at least double that - at the same price.

Bad start to my day.
