I Walked to Marina Square's Yoshinoya for my lunch. I have ordered their Beef vegetable Rice Bowl set meal which cost S$7.90.It consisted a bowl of free miso soup. It is quite watery with only a little miso taste. It has bits of seaweed, small dry toupok. There is also a free drink to go with the meal. The beef with vegetable bowl looks good. The beef with vegetable bowl looks good. They have plentiful of vegetable (Cauliflower, broccoli, french bean and carrot. The vegetable is bland and has no taste. The beef slices were just the right cut, not too oily nor dry. A nice teriyaki sauce flavour of the beef which goes well with the rice.

The prawn balls are breaded with big bits of bread. They are very crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. The prawn balls goes well with the mayonnaise.

Lastly is the Tori Kinkai which is only available on Wednesday. This is actually our version of chicken nugget. The outside is crispy and the inside is soft and juicy. The katsu sauce that comes with it is very salty and it actually spoil the taste of the Tori Kinkai if you eat with it.

I love yoshinoya! The food is yummy and the carrots are so cute and dainty, they compel me to eat them all up! Besides, this branch in Marina Square is my favourite branch because majority of the seating area is tucked away at the back, which gives me the feeling of privacy and comfort when eating. The downside to eating at Yoshinoya is that their serving is rather small for its price (the bowl is very shallow :|) and not filling enough. Perhaps a trick to make you buy their dessert!

Recommended place for a quick pick-me-up when you're feeling hungry in the afternoon, but not suitable for dinner because it's not filling enough. Good place to hang out with friends too, because it is usually not packed (and also quite big), so there's no stress of leaving immediately after you finish your food.

Yoshinoya always give me a happy feeling of eating there, but they can do better with larger servings.

Every Saturday evening, i'll give tuition with my student in Marina Square Yoshinoya and never fail to order their beef rice bowl and also gyozaa dumplling (the latter only sometimes). Capped with a REFILLABLE green tea, and a peaceful quiet restaurant, i really enjoy the entire experience and i believe my student does too! Hardly anyone goes there.Anyway the beef is really soft and fresh and it's not full of fats like some beef, the rice is totally succulent and pumpy so it's really a good deal

Anyway the beef is really soft and fresh and it's not full of fats like some beef, the rice is totally succulent and pumpy so it's really a good deal. However, bad side is sometimes the service is quite slow because usually they have 1 counter, 1 manager, 1 cleaner and 1 kitchen staff.

don't believe? GO TRY their food okay?

I can't quite comprehend how Yoshinoya is healthy. I'm aware of the little oil used in their cooking but isn't the ratio of ingredients to carbohydrates simply 1: 8? A mountain load of rice with a thin spread of stir-fried beef on top, barely concealing the white grains beneath it. A small serving of steamed mixed vegetables are placed in one corner of the bowl. Not a good choice for healthy or 'healthy' eating.
