The fried omelette we ordered came roundly cooked also, fun to cut it evenly for all to share
.

Waiting time was around 20min but from my observation, if you come after 930pm its quite empty.

This time round when I went to You Huak Restaurant, we decided to try something different. We ordered the Mee goreng instead of their signature white bee hoon. their mee goreng is pretty good in fact. it was not too spicy, more ketchup taste instead. we also ordered the ngoh hiang. it was so awesome. the meat inside the ngoh hiang is so fresh and it taste absolutely juicy despite being deep fried. we queue for sometime before we were seated so if you have children, do go earlier so you need not

This is the first time I ever queued for zi char, normally is the wait is very long but at least there is seats for you to wait. But this place is so popular that all the seats were taken up and we had to queue a good half an hour to 45 minutes before we were seated. Thankfully while queuing, there is an auntie taking the order. So you can take your time to browse the menu and don’t need to wait too long for the food to be served. They have this signature must order drink, it is called Mas Lime with Prune. One large mug cost only $2. The drink really opens up your appetite. It is sweetish, sour and salty. The salty probably comes from the preserved prune. The Mas Lime gives it a nice sourish taste. You can also eat it up too.

This place is famous for their white bee hoon. The bee hoon is not the dry kind, there is quite a lot of gravy. The gravy is very tasty, not too salty. There is also quite a lot of fresh seafood like prawns and sotong. The prawns and sotongs add a lot of sweetness to the gravy. Their bee hoon is very fine and chewy.

They have this special chilli sauce that they place on the table with the utensils. The chilli sauce is sourish and spicy, goes well with the bee hoon I must say. It gives the bee hoon some added hotness.

Their fried calamari is very unique, normally when we eat it, it is in a ring form, but theirs is a stripe form. The calamari is very chewy, despite being deep fried, it is not too dry. It goes really well with the mayo dip they provide.

They also have this fried chicken wing dish. The chicken taste really good, very juicy and the marinate they coated the chicken wing is really good, very fragrant.

I think it was absolutely worth the wait and the price is very reasonable. Portion wise is quite reasonable as well.

The Sambal Chilli which complements the Seafood White Beehoon perfectly with its spiciness and belacan flavour. They really should start selling this.

The signature Seafood White Beehoon that everyone orders. The must order over here. Bee Hoon simmered till soft in the gravy absorbing all its essence. A simple heart warming dish that is likely flavoured yet tasty enough for your to keep asking for more. Delish!

The Indo-Style Fried Chicken Wing was average; nothing to shout about. Not meaty, a tad too dry and normal marination. The only positive comment I can give was that it was served hot and not oily. $6 for 3 pieces of Chicken Wings, well, I am definitely not impressed. There are cheaper ones elsewhere that are cheaper.

Judging from the queues on several attempts to patronise Sembawang White Beehoon on a weekend and this recent visit where there was a full house on a weekday lunch. There is no doubt that Sembawang White Beehoon has built up quite a reputation. And they truely deserve it. The White Beehoon here is simple yet delicious; a must try. Amazing. Let's hope the standard does not drop and they continue to serve such food. In the meantime, I am definitely still patronising Sembawang White Beehoon.

There is free shuttle bus service to Sembawang Shopping Centre extending into the Sembawang, Yishun and Woodlands residential areas, and even to Yishun and Sembawang MRT stations. The bus frequency is quite fast and operating hours are stated in the flyer above. From Sembawang Shopping Centre, the Sembawang White Beehoon is just a stone throw away.

This tze cha place is directly opposite Sembawang Shopping Centre. It has always been extremely packed during the weekends and parking is a headache. The must order items are their signature braised white bee hoon in tasty stock with prawns and sotong. Another must order is their sambal fried rice. It has fried perfectly with the sambal paste that give it a nice but not overwhelmed spiciness. MUST TRY.

Located opposite Sembawang Shopping Centre, the speciality dish of this cze char stall, as its name suggests, is 'white bee hoon'. Fried in a similar way as fried hokkien prawn mee, 'white bee hoon' is coated with tasty white gravy and topped with fried egg, prawns and sotong.I was initially skeptical when my friend told me about this fantastic white bee hoon but after trying it, I have to agree that this is the BEST seafood fried bee hoon in Singapore.

Was shopping at Sembawang Shopping Centre and decided to have supper here. Queue was long as usual, and we waited for around 30 minutes before we got a seat. It was another 15-20minutes for the food. Place was clean, and tables cleaned promptly. Ordered a small portion of the popular White Bee Hoon @ $4. 2 of us shared it and it was sufficient for the 2 of us as supper.. Tasty! I have been visiting this old school coffee shop on a regular basis. It is definitely a good place for a quiet dinner on a weekdays or weekends. But, if you want to have dinner on weekends then the best timing would be a little after 5pm. And, it is wiser to avoid dinner time as the waiting time can be as long as a hour or so.

My usual favorite has always been the braised white bee hoon. It is a really simple dish but it is not too commonly found in most tze char places and thus it has its very own uniqueness with its loyal supporters that travelled here to have it. It seemed to be the must order dish here as almost every table ordered it. The best selling point of this dish gotta be the freshness of ingredients like prawns, squids and vegetable selected, not forgetting the savory stock that used to braise the bee hoon.

The must order drink here is none other than the lime juice, again, almost every tabe ordered it.

If you feel like experiencing an entirely different weekend at a different part of Singapore then having dinner in such an old school coffee shop is definitely recommendable.

Other than white bee hoon, i have constantly looking forward to eat their sambal fried rice too. Another personal favorite.
