Star Vista is a really good place to chill and hang out just to enjoy the breeze. Porn's is located at the outskirts of the mall, facing the MRT station, and this place is generally crowded when it comes to lunch and dinner time. Love the funky concept this restaurant takes on, it's really unexpected of a Thai eatery.
Here's what we had:
Pineapple Fried Rice. Honestly, it lacks the wow factor, even though there are bits of pineapple in every bite. The fragrance in the rice is absent. The blanched prawns were really fresh though.
Pad Thai Noodles. The pho noodle is a little dry and the seafood was overcooked.
Coconut soup. Rich coconut milk added a lot of flavour and aroma in the soup, on top of the tangy and spicy taste.
Tom Yum Soup. Fresh seafood was used in this pot of soup. It was probably twice as tangy as the coconut soup, but the level of spiciness was the same. The presentation of this soup reminds me of zi char stall clear seafood soup.
Green curry chicken. Not spicy, but sweet curry. Chicken was tender.
Durian sticky rice and mango sticky rice. Mango was really sweet and the sticky rice created a balance when eaten together. Durian was rich and fragrant and I'd prefer the durian sticky rice hands down over the mango one even though it was good. I'd return for the dessert or the coconut soup.
