Ordered their $48 dinner set menu dinner for 2 which comes with a soup, 2 mains and dessert of choice.
We started off with a complimentary bread basket with bread and a dip of olive oil and vinegar. My SO loved the vinegar dip so much, he finished the entire dish.
Secondly, our soup came. Large bowl of thick, rich, chunky soup! Loves the beans, vegetable bits so very much. The staff were so nice and took the initiative to ask if we wanted to separate the soup into two smaller bowls for us!
Next came the pizza, which was huge.
I can't quite remember the exact name of the pizza we ordered since it was all in italian, however, it was some along the line of lime/lemon shrimp pizza or something. The portion is just stunning and though it might not quite show in the pictures, the closest equivalent of the diameter of the pizza would be from your fingers to your elbows.
Was very disappointed with this pizza since they really do have some other great pizzas. The shrimp tasted stale ( not fresh at all) but i loved the crust and pizza sauce to bits! Modesco's Italian Wood-fired Pizzas are made traditionally and it’s thin crusted pizzas are to die for. I loved its cheese and sauce although the shrimps were very very disappointing. I was already 3/4 full when in realised we had another main course coming up.
Thirdly, our Linguine Vongole came. I loved this pasta although i can't say much for its sandy clams. Apart from being slightly salty, i loved the spice in this dish and the overall taste of the linguine.
Finally, just went we thought it was over, our HUGE tiramisu came! This was my first tiime ever tasting tiramisu, and i found it to be very light (dissolves almost instantly in your mouth). However, I have learnt that it was supposed to come with Mascarpone cheese? The 'cheese' that came with it however, was definitely more cream than cheese though.
Its a great place to bring your date to especially when the Resorts world has been fully built since the restaurant overlooks a gorgeous sea view of sentosa resorts world. Its worth the buck for its huge portions and good food. The staff were also very attentive (although it might be because we were the one customers, LOL) helpful and were very initiative.
Overall, had a great time, apart from the stale shrimps. Would definitely be back!
