The name of the yam cake in chinese was stated as 腊味芋头糕, so I anticipated the yam cake to have at least some preserved chinese sausage within. I was thus disappointed to find none of that within. The name of the yam cake in chinese was stated as 腊味芋头糕, so I anticipated the yam cake to have at least some preserved chinese sausage within. I was thus disappointed to find none of that within. There was plenty of cubed yam pieces within the yam cake and minuscule bits of mushroom but that's all. Taste-wise, I find the yam cake to be too salty, which was made worse by the salty dried shrimp added as toppings to the cake. Granted, the yam cake itself was quite soft and smooth. However, generally speaking there's nothing to shout about for this item. Perhaps it's worth a try at the offer price, but I'll definitely not buy it again at the normal price.
