It was my birthday and my friends and I came to eat at Din Tai Fung Hot & Sour Soup - I was skeptical about this dish at first because of the name. There were tofu slices, beancurd skin, and small bits of pork in this soup (and some other ingredients)... but the winning point of this dish for me was the soup! There was a generous dosage of vinegar and black pepper in it, which is essentially my favourite flavours - and the texture of the soup is so thick! I love it a lot - it is also piping
Hot & Sour Soup - I was skeptical about this dish at first because of the name. There were tofu slices, beancurd skin, and small bits of pork in this soup (and some other ingredients)... but the winning point of this dish for me was the soup! There was a generous dosage of vinegar and black pepper in it, which is essentially my favourite flavours - and the texture of the soup is so thick! I love it a lot - it is also piping hot when it arrived and leaves a good feeling in the stomach. Definitely recommended.
Fried Prawn Dumpling - Not a very helpful picture but I just remember that I wasn't entirely enjoying this much because it was rather spiky where it was fried and it pierced my mouth ;O Not only was it fried, it was extremely hot on the inside! Okay maybe I have bad dining etiquette but in general I don't like fried food but my friends liked it so they had fun gobbling it down. I wouldn't order it myself again.
Steamed Pork Dumplings - $10.50 - Well the classic Din Tai Fung dish that I think that has never gone wrong in my umpteen visits to Din Tai Fung and always the first, no-arguments dish to order. Such a delight for every pop! ;) For more food adventures, follow me at http://spherepiece.blogspot.sg/
