Recently I have won a $10 voucher to be used at the outlet from OpenRice and decide to pay the shop a visit. The outlet is decorated in traditional style with traditional window look on the walls. Birdnest in Coconut Milk ($9.80 for 5 grams of birdnest)The price varies from the amount of birdnest in the dessert. The dessert looks quite interesting been served in a coconut, so I decide to try it by ordering it with the smallest serving of birdnest. It is served hot, but tastes only warm. I suspect that the dessert is just taken to heat up in microwave oven. The amount of birdnest is less than a spoonful. The dessert is quite thick and creamy but a bit too sweet. The fresh of coconut is quite hard to scrape out. Overall I am quite disappointed with this dessert.
D24 Durian Sago with Pomelo ($5.90)The dessert is quite thick and creamy. It is quite great combination, although I feel the serving is a bit small.
Overall I feel that the desserts served is average. The service is quite slow, even the place is not crowded at all (there is just 2 other tables besides us). The stools are quite small and uncomfortable.
