This stall mentioned no lard no pork, but never see any halal logo. There are sardine and curry flavour. The Tradition Hainan Curry Puffs. The taste is very good. The outer layer of the skin is crispy. I bought 4 curry puffs yestereday and I will try out their sardine puffs the next time. A good snack to buy back to office.

Satay bee hoon OK Jul 31, 2012

This was my first time spotted pig's liver amongst the ingredients for satay bee hoon. It has stated on their signboard to be Teochew Satay Bee Hoon so i guess this must be the Teochew style of serving it. The stall is manned by a Teochew speaking elderly lady all by herself. She was quick and attentive when she spotted me. She cooked the bee hoon and the ingredients then poured the satay gravy over it. The texture of bee hoon was cooked nicely. It came with ingredients like pig's liver, cockles, cuttlefish, tau pok, bean sprouts and kang kong. The satay gravy has got a nice peanut taste and rather thick in texture.

Teochew Style Satay Bee Hoon Smile Aug 15, 2011

This stall is manned by a nice old auntie that speaks only little mandarin. Her stall was rather quiet at about 1 pm on Saturday. I decided to try it though.

I ordered the $3.00 portion though $2.50 portion is available too. The nice old auntie wanted to deliver it to my table but i offered to do self service. A plate of tempting satay bee hoon with quite a lot of ingredients was presented to me in a little while.

I was quite surprised to find pig's liver amongst the other ingredients like lean meat, cuttle fish, cockles, tau pok, kang kong and bean sprouts. Pig's liver is definitely a good addition. And, I enjoyed the crunchiness of bean sprouts when eating together with the bee hoon. The sauce was pretty thick with a tinge of peanut taste.

This was quite a nice plate of teochew style satay bee hoon prepared by that nice old auntie using her many years of experience.

Recommended.

Satay Bee Hoon Smile Oct 17, 2013

I went to Tanjong Pagar Plaza Food Centre before their major renovation. I was not sure after renovation will this Teochew Satay Beehoon manned by an old lady still be operating there.

The Teochew Satay Beehoon stall was loacted behind the Tanjong Pagar Plaza Food Centre. As compared to other famous nasi lemak stalls, this stall did not have much queue.

The satay beehoon had very peanuty gravy. You can crunch on the bits of roasted peanuts still in the gravy. The gravy had right enough of peanut and chilli oil, not too salty or spicy. The taste was more of roasted peanut than peanut butter sauce from some other stalls.

There was generous amount of ingredients in the satay beehoon. There were pork liver, pork slices, cockles, cuttlefish and kangkong. When you mixed up everything together with the satay gravy, the taste was very delicious.

Spending per head: Approximately $3(Lunch)

This store is located just next to lao ban soyabean, they sell a lot of traditional kueh, was walking pass then saw this little pig shape mooncake biscuit so bought it. Other shops are selling 3 for $2, but this store selling 4 for $2. They also have small mini mooncake with different flavours. So we bought to try ,it was not bad, the auntie boss was friendly, loads of choice to choose from, price not expensive, worth to give it a try.
