Tenshin is a high end Japanese outlet known for its tempura. Taste wise the tempura is better than normal with a lighter batter and less greasy bite. However the prices are insanely expensive. A dinner cost many hundred dollars per person for not super a lot of food. They also don't have a very wide menu. The prawn tempura was one of the better dishes being fresh and fried well, not overcooked. Sashimi was fresh too!

Chin chow desserts normally only come with just grass jelly syrup atap chee and ice. However the ones here were super unique and interesting in terms of toppings. I had a four seasons one which came with mango, chendol strips and jelly among other toppings. For 2 plus per bowl this was pretty worth the price for so many varied toppings! For only $3, the chicken rice here is good and cheap. The rice itself it fragrant and light, not too hard nor soft with good chicken flavour from the stock and fat used to prepare it. Luckily, the rice is not too oily which appealed to my palate. The chicken being boneless is easy to eat and creates no mess. It is tender and the white chicken skin is smooth and the meat is bouncy. I liked this chicken rice quite a lot.

I used to come to this outlet when we were living around the area as a small child to get my weekly dose of snacks and confectioneries. I enjoy coming back to this place because it was very nostalgic for me. I got some soon kueh like snacks except these had chives in them instead of radish. The kueh when eaten with black sauce and chilli is very savoury and delicious. The price is reasonable at $3 for one whole box too!

This stall sells char kway teow, carrot cake as well as rojak. The rojak is pretty decent, better than most places in terms of the taste. The moisture level is also good with enough sauce being used to make the rojak. The rojak sauce is piquent and tangy with a good balance of sweet and savory. I got the 5 dollar portion which wasnt that huge to be honest, but I guess it was pretty good overall.
