My Company had an year end function and engaged Stamford Catering for refreshment.
We had fried mee siam. It was the dry mee siam and no mee siam gravy was served. The mee hoon went with the nonya chap chye. It was mainly the cabbage with black fungus. We also had carrot cake. The carrot cake was mixed with yam. When sweet sauce was spread over the carrot cake, the cake tasted perfect. The main dish was the Cantonese style Garlic Dory Fillet. The cook used Thai asparagus to fry with the Dory Fillet. It was an interesting dish as the asparagus did not contract in size after frying and the Dory was not smashed after the cooking.

The excellent dish was the assorted sushi. Though the sushi was not fully chilled when served, the sushi was an excellent one especially when wasabi, soya sauce and ginger were spread over the sushi. The caterer had arranged a single with repeated dishes on half of the table.

California Kitchen had come out with a new flatbread. There were 3 choices and I chose shaved mushroom and spinach.
While waiting for the flatbread to be served, I noticed that the restaurant was dim. There wasn’t many lights were switched on. I waited for 15 minutes to have the flatbread served. The pizza was about a 10 cm long flatbread instead of round. It was about 1 cm thick. Mushroom and spinach were spread on top of the flatbread. It was not very hot and the flatbread was served. As the bread of flat, I could not bite the mushroom and spinach. The flatbread was too think and the ingredients added on top of the flatbread did not to have something to eat.
The flat bread costs $11.90. I would not grade highly of the bread.

I revisited the Fat Burger at Far East Plaza as I had a $10 voucher to consume. This time, I ordered the seasame bun with pork and 3 types of vegetables ie shredded lettuce, tomato slice and prickles. The burger costs $6.50 and side order – French fried costs $3.50.

The wait was about 10 minutes as the crowd had not rolled in. The burger and the fried were presented in a tray to me. The bun was just an ordinary bun when sesame seeds spread on top of the bun. The pork was dried and overdone. I had to add lots of mustard cream on the bun.

The French fried was long and thick. I enjoyed the fried more than the bun.

I tried the Pizza Hut Double Sensation Pizza, Criss Cross Fries, Truffle Mushroom baked pasta and sparkles drink Berri for my friend gathering.

The double sensation pizza was great. It was filled with cheese and stuffing. There were ham, beacon. When the cheese melted over the hot fire, the melted cheese flowed over the pizza and made the pizza very cheesy. The Criss Cross Fries were crispy. The truffle mushroom baked pasta was creamy and hot of mushroom were baked together with the pasta. The meal made complete with a glass of sparkles Berri drink to clear about the creamy texture on the mouth.

I enjoyed the wonderful meal.

I had a Christmas Party and the host ordered Swensen Ice Cream chocolate log cake. It was about a 1.5 kg cake. When the cake was served, it was still hard and had not melted. Once it was cut, the chocolate had made it easy to eat. The ice cream was not too cold to cause sensitive toothache. It cake was not dry but it was perfect as ice cream. In fact, I did not see that I was eating cake. I was more of eating ice cream. It was a wonderful ice cream log cake.
