Han's for Dinner Smile Jun 17, 2013
Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Singaporean Western | Kids-Friendly

Long time have not been to Changi City Point. Decided to eat western food and at a reasonable price. We went to Han's. This resturant has a long history in Singapore. Currently, it operates only in certain places and not as commonly seen as other Western food restaurant.

We ordered a set meal. Mine is the pork chop which comes with a drink of our choice (orange juice for me), dessert (the green swiss roll), soup (cream of mushroom) and the main dish.

The restaurant operates in a self-service style where we had to queue to order our food and collect the soup, drink and dessert after making payment. After which, the main course will be served by the waiter/ waitresses of the restaurant.

Good ambience within the restuarant. Suitable for friends, family and even couple, should they not mind the chatters of the other diners. ;)

Cupcakes made with Love <3 Smile Jun 17, 2013

Categories : Desserts and Cakes

Bought two cupcakes and requested the lady to put it in this boxes to maintain the icing on the cupcakes. ;)
The left cupcake is red velvet with a cute heart icing on top.
The right cupcake is chocolate vanilla.

It is my first time trying twelve cupcake though it had been in the market for quite some time. The icing on top is rather thick and sweet to my liking. I guess their popularity rose due to their design. I have tasted much nicer cupcakes.

Ohh, new Item from Ya Kun Kaya Toast. They are introducing Kaya Balls selling at $3 for 8 pieces. smile Slightly on the high side, but for Ya Kun Kaya. It is worth it. The nice fragrance of Kaya that melts in the mouth. tongue It's a snack which my parents bought for me near the Ang Mo Kio food centre but it is no longer there...

The packaging which was given to me as I asked for a take away. ;)

Suggestion: It will be good if Ya Kun offer different flavours like Peanut, Cheese etc. Or perhaps a mixed flavour balls for customers to choose from. bowl

Sushi for lunch Smile May 28, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Sushi/Sashimi | Kids-Friendly

We had a super late lunch at City Link Mall. Woke up much much later than expected...

Chicken sukiyaki. The egg in a separate bowl is for us to dip the chicken slices into it for enjoyment. As I dont like to eat egg raw, I have added in the egg to boil in the pot. smile

Sunshine maki. Its fried prawn wrapped with sushi rice, topped with mango slices and fish roe. Really delicious and the look of it really entices me to have the whole plate for myself. bowl
All of you should try it out.

Sides will be shake shake salad which comes with two packs of thousand island sauces. Yums, Healthy. smile

Curry sauce chicken pepper rice. Didnt get the taste which was supposed to be as the curry sauce was to be added only after all the chicken and rice has sizzled and be mixed. The waiter told us that later. ohh...
