Months after months, we passed by this shop, and we are always so amazed by the queue. One evening, we finally made our way to have dinner there. When we reached there, we just queued for about 5 mins and we got our seats.

We ordered the pineapple rice, belachan kang kong, tom yam soup, garlic chicken, green curry and phad thai. All the dishes are of small amount, hence it is just nice for three of us to share.

I seriously wondered why there is always a queue for this shop and the oulet at Bedok. The garlic chicken taste good. As for the other dishes, it is just normal to me, nothing special and I had eaten better Thai food elsewhere.

The interior of the shop has Thai decor which I see a good effort done by the shop-owner. I also ordered the Thai bottled Coke there as well. Finally, my verdict is I won't go back again.

Terrific Tiramisu Smile Jul 08, 2011
Categories : Bakery | Hotel | Desserts and Cakes

I have always been having strawberry shortcake for my birthday cake, as I love the light and fluffy vanilla sponge cake, creamy vanilla cream and fresh strawberries that strawberry shortcake will have. I thought this year I would be on the search for my strawberry shortcake again, but my hubby bought me a Tiramisu cake!

After the Lion King show at MBS, he turned up with a Sweet Spot cake box and told me it’s a Tiramisu cake. I was thinking, “How nice could it be… why is it not a strawberry shortcake?”

After having the Tiramisu cake, it really changed my mind. It is comparable to my love for strawberry shortcake. Sweet Spot Tiramisu cake is indeed appetizing and scrumptious! The taste was not over-whelming and it fits my love of light and fluffy cake... and this comes with the velvety light cream and cocoa powder dust.

I simply love it... now my next target - Tiramisu cake! tongue

Fruit Bar Chocolate OK Jul 07, 2011

Categories : Japanese

Strawberry Mango Cranberry Banana Nutty Puff in Chocolate - this is what is written on the cover of the 10 pieces box.

The strawberry cream sticks tasted like the strawberry cream that we have on Strawberry flavored biscuit sticks. In the fruit bar chocolate, it contains dried fruits such as strawberry, cranberry, mango and banana as mentioned and there are rice puffs as well. The texture was good and unique.

However, if given the same amount of money, I would rather spend on the milk chocolate potato chips that Royce sells.

Plain yoghurt with granola

If I am not wrong, this brand has been in Singapore for years, as I remember 10 over years ago, there was an outlet at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Only recently due to the craze for frozen yoghurt, it has more and more outlets reaching out to us.

I ordered the plain yoghurt with granola as the toppings. I prefer Yami than Frolick, as I find it more creamy. Morever, Frolick does not have granola as one of their toppings. However, my best choice is Cofffee Bean's though. See my other reviews.

Soup that can be the main course Smile Jul 07, 2011

The Soup Spoon has been here for years but it was only till this year I had meals there. We wanted something light before our movie, hence my brother suggested this. We thought it was a good idea since I had not tasted the dishes before.

I wanted to just share my set meal of soup - Simon and Garfunkel Chicken and Mushroom Ragout, a banana muffin and iced lemon tea with my hubby. However, he was so tempted with the Pot pie and he ended ordering another Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff soup. I love the simon soup very much! It was so creamy and tasty and I love the chicken chunks in the soup. As for the mushroom soup, it was really full of mushrooms and I find it too creamy for me to finish one bowl of that on my own, but I can finish one bowl of that simon soup though. ;)

The iced lemon tea was refreshing and has that kind of homemade tea with fresh lemon. I like it. The wrap and Spicy Herby Cheesy Wedges were also great and filling to the stomach.

We laughed at ourselves for saying we wanted to eat light! This meal had made us realize that soups can be very filling and delicious and they can be eaten as main courses as well. I was even thinking to myself that next time I can even buy the pre-packed soup and warm it up as meals at home.
