Disappointing fried kway teow. Cry Aug 23, 2011

The purpose of trying this particular stall is to write a review for Openrice. I already have a certain doubt that the food would be nice thus i ordered without an expectation. This stall offers fried carrot cake and fried oyster too. Another 'Jack of all trades, master of none' stall which i normally stay away. I decided to give them a chance to prove me wrong apparently i was still left disappointed.

The saltiness of the fried kway teow was the major turn off and it was a little over fried too thus a little hard. It was fried a few slices of fishcake and a little egg.

Not recommended.

Not for me. Cry Aug 20, 2011

This was most probably one of the worst curry puffs that i ever eaten. The pastry was alright though a little too thick but the filling has not even a slight curry taste. Sounded bad? i thought so. I was totally disappointed. The curry filling is the most basic and undeniably the most important factor to determine whether the curry puff is good or not and if the filling is failed to meet such an expectation then this particular curry puff is definitely not worthy of your calories and your money as well. Don't you think so?

Sadly, one of the worst curry puffs.

A total disappointment.  Cry Aug 20, 2011

There were quite a few people right in front of this stall during lunch. I was attracted by the pictures on their menu board and decided to try it. A big piece of chicken leg with a fried egg is only $3.20. The first impression was pretty value for money.

But, this was a total disappointment. The chicken leg was overcooked, the meat was most probably harden during the cooking process and worst, it was pre-cooked and left it aside to be served. So, when i ordered, it was served to me in just a minute. The auntie only required to assemble the chicken leg, the fried egg and poured the curry sauce over with chilli aside then served. And, the chilli tasted rather plain with no distinct spiciness.

I am rather sure this is going to be the first as well as the last time eating at this stall.

Fried bee hoon. Cry Aug 18, 2011

This packet of bee hoon was quite a disappointment. The texture and saltiness of this packet of bee hoon were not consistent, certain part of the bee hoon was lumped together. The sambal chilli tasted just fine and that piece of otak was alright too. I left it unfinished though.

I have not been patronizing this stall for a while but decided to try it today but regretted later. I used to like their fried chicken wings but the sizes of the fried chicken wings are getting smaller after the price increment.

Not for me. Cry Aug 15, 2011

Wanted something extra after lunch and i thought this might be good thus got 1 to try.

The baguette was rather hard; it required certain effort to bite through. The indian curry topping was the same used for Naan. There is a nice tinge of curry taste which i liked but it tasted a little too dry to my liking as well. Honestly, i would prefer the Naan bread to this anytime. I am rather sure this is going to my first as well as the last time to get this baguette.
