Pho Stop Vietnamese Food Smile Mar 03, 2013

Categories : Vietnamese

I had never try Vietnamese food before. Hence, this is my virgin vietnamese food tasting.
This place is easy to find, it's just located near maxwell food centre.
Nearest MRT station will be either outram MRT or Tanjong Pagar MRT.
The place was really cosy and nice, it does not have a vietnamese feel though.

The first dish was the Summer Fresh Roll wit Prawns and chicken (D.I.Y)
So I had to wrap my own roll.

The very interesting rice paper which looks like plastic!
Add some water to make it soft. *don't add too much if not it will break!

The ingredients we need for our roll. Vegetables, prawns, chicken!

And the nicely made fresh roll by the owner ;/
and the sauce at the side to dip the roll!I love the sauce, it's really good and not that spicy!

Vietnamese fish cake. I don't eat fish cakes but this is really good and fresh!

Vietnamese deep fried spring rolls which I'm not a fan of spring roll
but this really surprised me. This is really good and it's served hot!
Plus the sauce was some unique vietnam style.
Highly recommended

Next up, grilled pork dry noodles which will be in their menu soon.
Really happy to get to try it first
The sauce which is same as the spring roll, pour it into the bowl and stir.
I love the pork! It tastes like bak kwa !

How can we forget about dessert!
Vietnam coffee ice-cream in a jar! they had it in coffee, tea and coconut
I love the coffee one! strong smell and taste of the coffee!
highly recommended

Lastly to end up my meal with the vietnamese dripped coffee.
Not a coffee lover so it's a nah to me

Overall definitely coming back again ! Food is good and this place is really cosy!

They closed on Sun!
Mon to Fri 11.30am to 9.30pm
Sat 11.30am to 3pm (which they recently decided to open for business during the weekends, so head down now!)

Tea-Break at Kki  Smile Feb 25, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Bakery

A cosy place to have a break from your stress work. But this place is a little small so limited seats available.
They have a little drom store where they sell all types of vintage and unique stuffs.

They have really nice desserts there.
So i decided to get this dark chocolate with raspberry.
This little cute red riding hood $9

It's really tasty if you like chocolate however I can't finish the whole thing.
Too chocolatey to finish it alone.

The nice staff recommended a pot of tea to me and it's some pretty good hot green tea $5.50

It goes real well with the cake.

10% service charge additional if you dine in.

Categories : Korean | Bakery | Desserts and Cakes | Burgers and Sandwiches | Salads/ Acai Bowl

It's a random decision on a friday afternoon to have brunch at Paris baguette at Wisma.
This place is always crowded. I was lucky enough to get a seat !

Phat Thai Noodles $8.50

I was kind of surprised to see them selling this. quite interesting. it makes me think of thailand.
I love the sauces and the prawn was served fresh.

I ordered this drink called Iced Orange Tea $11

I'm not a fan of orange so I don't drink orange juices because i think it is sour
but i decided to give it a try since it says orange TEA
and I never regretted ordering this. this drink is so good !

For the main, I ordered the scrambled egg brioche $18

To my surprise, the serving is huge! I had a hard time finishing it. I thought it will be a small serving.
I love the wedges because they served it real hot !

Dessert, Original Royal Pudding

It's like milk pudding. I love it alot $4 and the bottle was pretty.

This place is always crowded so good luck in finding seats ;/

Categories : European | Restaurant | Fine Dining

Stellar for a romantic birthday dinner

1 Raffles Place (Former OUB Centre)
http://www.1-altitude.com/#contact

Took the lift up to level 62

But we were 10mins earlier so we are allowed to head up to level 63 - the Gallery & Bar
to watch the sunset

Drinks for us, we had:
My sparkling water (:
1litres for $8.50
while boyfriend had Absolute mango $15.29

So we ordered Rustic Breads $8 to eat first
Because we were too hungry

Complimentary Salmon from the Chef

Small serving but awesome salmon

Finally our main course is here!

My 220g Tenderloin $48
It's just so good and the serving for 220g so big
worth it man!

Boyfriend's 220g Angus ribeye $46
The meat was so good, so soft, so juicy !

We were quite full after that..

While Boyfriend went to restroom
secretly ordered the dessert and requested to put
"Happy Birthday"

When Boyfriend came back from the restroom
2 of the waitress came
and
they even sang him a Birthday Song
*SURPRISEEEEE
(If it's me, I will be too shy to even sing a song to a stranger)
Thank you to the 2 ladies working there

Ok
My memory offically failed here
I cannot remember the dessert name
But it's their signature I guess
It's damn awesome
Plus
It's like a Ball shape

It was recommended by the staff

Those who wants to go there not sure of the price?!

here comes the bill for our drinks and main course:

Sparking Water 1 litres $8.50
Absolute mango $15.29
Rustic breads $8
Tenderloin 220g $48
Angus Ribeye 220g $46

Total: 125.79
10% service charge $12.58
7% GST $9.69
Grand Total: $148.10

AND
BEFORE WE LEFT
THEY GAVE US 2 FREE DESSERT

AWWWW
WHY YOU GUYS SO SWEET AND NICE T.T
(I WANT TO DINE IN THERE AGAIN!)

We sum up our night by going up to Level 63 Bar again to take a look at the night scenary

Highly recommended for couples and reservation is needed. as the place of the restaurant is quite small
