Pizza Hut always has good promotions. If you're a Standard Chartered credit card holder, you can be entitled to even more discounts and good deals. For example, they are currently having a StanChart 1-1 lunch promotion or 30% off ala carte pasta.

I ordered the chicken soup as my appetizer, iced lemon tea for a drink and had the Ocean Catch pizza as the main dish. The chicken soup was thick, creamy and had substantial chicken chunks in it. It quickly fills up your tummy so you might want to split it with someone. The iced lemon tea is not sweet at all when served. You can pour in your desired amount of syrup which will come with the iced tea. A refreshing drink with pizza. The Ocean Catch Pizza is soft and fluffy. It has shrimps, squids, tunas, crabstick, pineapples and diced tomatoes all on a cool lime mayonnaise base sauce. Of course, who can forget the cheese? A very delicious combination. Recommended pizza!

The servers at this outlet are always ready to serve. They try to ensure that you get your pizza in the shortest possible time. Upon noticing that you're almost done with your meal, some of them will even offer you the dessert menu. Very attentive!

Sushi! Smile Jul 25, 2013

I can't remember what this sushi is called but it's a great choice for vegetarians. It is basically carrot, cucumber and corn sticks wrapped in sushi rice. The green flakes you see surrounding the rice is seaweed flakes. The carrot and corn sticks are fresh and crunchy and the cucumber sticks add a refreshing taste overall.

This sushi is called Golden Catch. It is a combination of dory fish, potato, tartar sauce and lettuce. This is so yummy! It has a coating around the sushi which is made up of tiny crispy potato sticks. So crunchy and soft at the same time. It's a must-have every time I visit!

Ramen + salad Smile Jul 25, 2013   (Related Review)

Another visit at Bishamon. During dinnertime, even though there isn't a queue, there is always a constant stream of diners at this place.

We got the Avocado and Prawn Salad as our starter. The prawn was very succulent and crunchy. Lettuce and avocado tasted fresh and went well with the salad dressing which was considerately served at the side. This allows you to pour as much or as little dressing on your salad as you wish. The salad included sweet corn and cherry tomatoes and it looked really attractive aesthetically.

Next, I ordered the Assari Seafood Shio Ramen. At that point of time, I did not actually know what shio means but decided to give it a try. Having just googled "shio", it means salty. The ramen looked like maggi mee and it was springy but harder than Ajisen's ramen. The prawns in the salad tasted the same as the prawns in the salad. You get some black fungi and bamboo shoots. The soup was definitely saltier than the miso soup but I guess that was what I ordered. Nonetheless, it was a tasty meal.

Got the custard bun ($0.90) from Baker Talent. As usual, the bun is very soft and fluffy. The consistency of the custard filling is a little more runny than I expected but still good to eat. Baker Talent is never stingy with the filling in the bread so you can always expect a great bun that is always stuffed solid with tuna/ cream cheese/ custard, etc filling. Everything is cheap too! I love it and I highly recommend this bakery.

oxtail soup Cry Jul 25, 2013   (Related Review)

I decided to try the Oxtail Soup ($5.50) as I was craving something soupy and warm. Since I love the oxtail soup at Ayam Penyet Ria, I figured that the taste of the soup from this stall should be about the same. I was fairly disappointed with the soup as it was really oily and not as flavourful as I'd expected. The 2 oxtail parts that were given were also lacking in meat. There are some potatoes and carrots but that was about it. This dish comes with rice. I do not recommend this dish.
