Quality Slip! Cry Jan 03, 2012

Categories : Steamboat/Hot Pot | Buffet

These days, it is rare to enjoy food that is serve in consistent quality and standards. The first time is great but the second time worst than ever.

The ingredients are not fresh, I even spotted an insect among the vegetable. Well, I can only say the price speak quality. You want quality, pay more for that if not you have a choice to patronize or not.

I will give this steamboat restaurant a miss now.
Bad!

Bad!

Although the Tom Yum soup is not that bad but the ingredients affected the taste. Shake head, shake head!

There was this service staff standing right outside luring customers even when the place was quite pack already and given the space of the restaurant, it couldn't match the demand. She probably thought she could run it like a fast food chain whereby people eat and go but HELLO it is steamboat, people take their time to eat!

As we were seated outside, we were a little uncomfortable with the glaring from the waiting customers "faster eat leh" that kind of feel.

Where's The Boat OK Jan 03, 2012

It is called Japan Boat, but instead of the boat, it become the container which I found it not environment friendly.

There aren't any choice of ingredient, it appear to be only one choice which is the octopus ball that comes in spicy or non-spicy.

I had the spicy one which is a little out of the norm. Not really that special after all, the outer layer is hard - I suppose it was kept too long on the pan.

Not really impressive...

Not That Impressive Now OK Jan 01, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi | Buffet | Japanese BBQ/Teppanyaki

This used to be the place that very much impress me but I felt that the service standard has slip and the quality of the food is not really there now.

These 4 dishes are still alright.

A little bland...

The coleslaw is totally different from what I used to have.

The BBQ meats are not well marinated and in fact too bloody on the plate.

Prawns are not really fresh and it takes a lot of time to remove the shell.

I am quite disappointed and probably won't be returning any time soon.

Too English For Me Smile Jan 01, 2012

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Café | Desserts and Cakes | Pasta | Steaks and Grills | Pizza | Brunch

My friend insisted to have our brunch at PS Cafe since everyone of us was available so we went. It was full house during lunch hour with most of them Whites. Thus, we waited for nearly 30 minutes to get a table.

The environment is really nice and close to the nature and it suppose to make people feel calm and at ease but with such crowd and the hustle and bustle just make you feel uneasy.

The cakes sure got my attention but not for the menu...

Their cakes is really special, it is tall and comes in gigantic portion but the price is gigantic also. smile

Ultimate Fudge $14.90

You can have this cake alone and you will be full! Share it with 2 is still a little suicide. We shared among 4 of us and we still feel that the cake is too sweet to be indulged. But still, I love the cake with the mash mellow. It will be good if the cake comes in smaller serving size.

Four of us share 2 mains, 1 soup and a dessert as we booked a dinner at 5.30pm and didn't want to be too full.

Chicken Parmigiano $26

In simple term, it is actually chicken in tomato spaghetti sauce. I will say if you eat it alone, you will feel a little overwhelm.

PS Fish & Chips $28

Fish & Chips is great! I like the unique fries shape and the special sauce which I couldn't figure out what sauce is that.

Portobello Mushroom Soup $14

I will say the soup is too pricey and I don't really like the soup. It is too thick with too much starch and the taste of the mushroom is not clearly define.

The ice water here is very special! They added vegetable in it and it somehow taste more refreshing.

The total bill was $97.55, luckily for us it was 4 of us and not 2. It is still affordable for us but for 2 I will say, not really that worth.

Categories : Thai

This is the restaurant that is definitely going to be a big hit! You can expect traditional Thai food serve in modern design! I really love the colourful and vibrant environment, it makes your day and seeing such colour just simply boost your appetite. Every one here is sure a happy customer with such fabulous environment.

Grass Jelly Drink

When I saw the drinks menu, I visualized it to be the usual black grass jelly but it turned out to be... I thought the staff served me the wrong drink but it was their Thai Grass Jelly Drink. It taste peppermint and it is very refreshing with a little Thai touch.

Tom Yam Seafood

The Tom Yum Seafood is the MUST HAVE! The best Tom Yam I ever had, everything is so right - it is sour and sweet just of the right degree. It is pointless to describe as it is too great that not any words can perfectly describe it.

It is too nice...!

Peppery Chicken

The sauce is great, chicken is not too chunky. Without realizing, we finished it too "last piece, so fast"

Honey Drumlets

The meat is tender, marinated well and with the sesame added just make it of the right balance, not too overly honey. Great!

Kang Kong

I didn't really get to taste much of the Kang Kong as he ate most of the portion. The Kang Kong must be great as for a person that rarely eat vegetable, he almost finished it alone!

Great news, they offer delivery services!

DO CHECK OUT THIS CHIC RESTAURANT!
