Came on 16th June 2014 to celebrate friendship with my ex-colleague. It seems to be under staffed for that evening because it was so busy from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. I wonder why the restaurant manager did not call for more part timers for assistance.

We ordered many dishes instead of following the set menu because we knew that the chilli crab is their signature dish. The 900g crab has lots of meat and I really think it was being cook quite well by the chef in kitchen.

FYI: 1kg crab is selling at $68.00. Since I knew that I am going to have seafood dinner, I just having bread during lunch so that it would be perfect for my stomach to fill up Jumbo's chilli crab with the buns. The fried buns are yummy and goes well with the chilli crab gravy.

I just ordered a steaming bowl of plain rice and two plates of steamed prawns to mix with the food due to too full for fried rice even though their fried rice is nice and fragrant because I tried it before they closed their Indoor Stadium outlet.

Before we left, my ex-colleague and me decided to have Chilled Mango Sago with Pomelo as our desserts. It was so refreshing to close a wonderful dinner.

Conclusion: The staffs are friendlier and the restaurant's ambience is fantastic. This will be my most delicious chinese cuisines within this year.

Baked barbecue pork bun and lotus leaf glutinous rice

Baked barbecue pork bun and lotus leaf glutinous rice

I went to this Dim Sum Restaurant for lunch this afternoon because I found that it's easily satisfied my stomach, but hard to go there because I need to wait for 15 minutes due to waiting time of SBS 228.

Actually this is my first visit Canton Paradise at Bedok Mall with much anticipation of trying something new. Unfortunately, my lunch time is from 12.00 noon to 1.00 p.m., so I just ordered steamed barbecue pork bun and lotus leaf glutinous rice.

This restaurant was the least crowded when I entered.

After eating their dim sum, I like it very much especially the traditional glutinous rice roll with chicken wrapped in fragrant lotus leaves 古法糯米雞 and I would like to go at Canton Paradise in the rest of my life. Reason: Freshness, sweetness being fulfilled as per my expectation.

Their dim sum are affordable and delicious. I sincerely hope that they need to improve their customer service because no staffs being served for refilling tea and I have to do it myself.

Nourishing Soup + Authentic Hong Kong Dim Sum Buffet + Free Flow Drinks except soft drinks and alcoholic drinks. After purchasing vouchers from Superdeals at $37.60 for my girlfriend and me, we decided to go have dinner last evening. Anyway, GST and service charge were not included in our vouchers plus the wet towel. Unfortunately, the service crews never served us appertiser snack, which I felt not reasonable to charge $3.00/pax for Peak Hour Surcharge with this kind of service being provided. Therefore, the total price came up to $52.00.

I do not recommend this place any more because the choice were limited. Dim sum items were few and very basic. The Shanghai Meat Dumpling (xiao long bao) was a 1x order. There was no har gao and other items as compared to Wah Lok Restaurant in Carlton Hotel. Shanghai's xiao long bao meat dumplings (for four) are terrific. It was a little bland and dry.

Steamed Shrimp and Pork Dumplings with Fish Roe (魚子滑燒賣) was quite nice although it wasn't the best that we've eaten.

Nothing impressive at all for the amount we ate except marinated pork meat combination and it's signature steamed barbecued pork bun (barbecued pork stuffed into a bun deserves its very own shoot-out there), it's cheaper to eat at other restaurant based on the above food that we ordered. It was very difficult to call their hotline because it was always busy and I had to book a table for 2 through the PA of director in Old Hong Kong group.

Since I hate Bad service, so I have to spread this review to the whole world being the reason for not able to automatically refill our drinks.

I just wanted to eat to my fill, then go off and will not return.

FYI: The corn in the Super Soup of The Day was sour and this mean that the chef in their kitchen kept this for many days. The slightly bitter and cool grass jelly mixed with the syrup is the worst dessert.

Curry Mutton And Potato Rice

Curry Mutton And Potato Rice

The mouth-watering curry mutton attracted me, so I ordered the Malay food as shown in above picture because it is very tasty and extremely reasonable food with friendly staff too.

Although I knew that this restaurant offer good murtabak or roti prata, I still prefer their curry mutton rice & potato and I'll not eat Tom Yam Soup during lunch time with my technician because it is not good to drink sour soup when you are hungry, which being taught by my parents during school days.

Buffet Dinner

Buffet Dinner

Good service and nice decor to be commented on this caterer because everything was well prepared while I came out from the lift to attend LawWorks Legal Primer in NTUC Centre Level 8 last evening 7.00 p.m.

They served more than enough on their order, so it's worth to try for their buffet dinner.
