Was passing by this food centre and felt like having western food! For only SGD4.50, this spaghetti is accompanied with chicken chop. You can choose tomato sauce, mushroom or cream sauce and I went on with mushroom sauce.

I thought it tasted really bad because the chicken and pasta was both cold.. the sauce was also too sticky to taste. The pasta on the other hand, tasted a bit sour and I'm not sure if it was due to the mushroom sauce. Anyway, the portion was quite huge, but the chicken definitely tasted frozen. I won't recommend trying this!

However, the hawker was quite friendly and the service was really quick! Good if you are going for speed!

Zha Jiang Mian~~ Cry Jan 31, 2014

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Noodles

Ordered this bowl of Zha Jiang mIan for only $3. I would say it was quite worth it because they gave a lot of minced meat sauce with the cucumbers.. but after eating awhile, i got quite sick of it. The sauce became very gooey and sticky, so do eat it while it's hot! Also, the service was really slow as the hawker told me it would only take 3 minutes but I waited almost 15 minutes. No wonder they have a queue number sad

finally my mother and i settled on minced pork katsu with omtu curry rice (white). it is different from the original one, which means that there are no milk in the curry. it costs SGD14.80.

it comes along with potato and lettuce. the potato was mashed up and very delicious!

we also ordered an a la carte salmon toji for $12.80. this means that the salmon is freshly cooked in egg sauce and it really looked nothing like in the picture. the presentation was so horrifying that i could eat that in a coffeeshop. the salmon also smelled bad and fishy when cooked longer int he fire.

we ordered a pot of japanese green tea and when we ask for another cup, the person said we have to pay another 1.50. its such a strange policy.

this is the interior of the restaurant.

there are also some huge menu boards you can look at, some of their choice selections.

$29.68 FOR 2 PAX, manna story Cry Dec 28, 2013

Categories : Korean

Spent a total of almost $30 just for 2 people. Ordered BBQ Beef and Bulgogi.

BBQ Beef - $13.80

The beef was fresh and tender, and drenched thoroughly in gravy. It was well-marinated and delicious, though the portion was a little too many for a person. it was a restaurant with many frills, perhaps that's why the slightly more expensive value. this also includes a portion of rice that was quite sticky instead of fluffy.

Bulgogi - $15.80
the bulgogi was a little fattening and oily, and there were too little chopped green onions to go along with it.

Side dishes (given for free)
the waitress didn't explain the 12 side dishes, which actually tasted ok. some was good, like the kimchi preserved vegetables..

Ice Lemon Tea - $2.00
Pear Juice - $2.50
i would recommend drinking the pear juice because it tasted quite fragrant and fresh, whereas the ice lemon tea is of little additional value (in terms of satisfaction). sad perhaps i wouldn't come back to the restaurant again because it was food that i could get in a food court price.

Riding on the popular Kpop waves, KFC has decided to come up with a strange meal called 'Korean Crunch', and no, there isn't any kimchi yet.

The a la carte Spicy Korean Crunch is available at $3.30 per piece and Spicy Korean Burger at $4.90 each. KFC Spicy Korean Box comes with Spicy Korean Burger only.

The chicken meat was very little as compared to the marination, which was crispy, a little sweet and EXTREMELY spicy! I didn't enjoy the burger as much as I would for the usual chicken menu, because it felt more like eating sweet and spicy potato chips (to emphasise the crispiness of the chicken) rather than the chicken itself. The burger was basically chicken slipped into two burger bread.

A spicy korean crunch box costs $8.80 and a spicy korean crunch meal costs $8.20. The difference? You have a burger and a chicken in the box instead of the 2 usual korean crunch chickens in the korean crunch meal! smile
