Thick chocolate cake Smile Apr 16, 2012

I love awfully chocolate cakes! Their cakes are rich in good quality chocolates. Although the whole cake is chocolate, you won't feel that it is too sweet because they layer the cake with alternate layers of chocolate and chocolate sponge cake. The chocolate is also not too sweet so you won't feel sick after eating just one piece and you would definitely want more than a slice.

Tender Beef Noodles Smile Apr 16, 2012

Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Food Court | Noodles

I usually order beef ball noodles because beef slices could turn out tough and I didn't want to struggle with eating the meat. However, I decided to beef slices noodles instead that day. It was not a bad choice after all. The portion of noodles served at this stall is a lot! (should ask for less if you don't eat much) The best thing is there are many beef slices to complement the huge portion of noodles. And, the beef slices were tender and easy to chew. The thick sauce was brewed well and was thick enough to last through together with noodles. I love the amount of bean sprouts the person gave me! Yummy! smile

I just discovered quite an interesting tea at Gong cha that day and I have been constantly ordering it quite regularly! It's Earl Grey Milk Tea with herbal jelly. I used to love pearls a lot but gong cha's pearls are not that nice so I opted for herbal jelly instead which turned out amazingly gooood together with milk tea. The herbal jelly is not too bitter and I really like the jelly texture when you slurp it up the straw! I always thought herbal jelly with milk tea was weird but no! I think this combination is much much better than pearls and healthier too! smile

Chocolate Swirl Buns  Smile Apr 16, 2012

I love these chocolate swirl buns. They are light and fluffy with chocolate fillings that are not too thick but just enough to add a little flavour to the bun! The soft texture of the bun just makes you want to have more because it does not really fill your stomach, one bun is definitely not enough. That's why they come in a pack of six! Great afternoon snack! smile

Fried Dumplings  OK Apr 16, 2012

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Chinese | Restaurant

Came across this restaurant serving fast Chinese food, all in disposable packagings. A little environment unfriendly but I guess its for takeaway convenience. They serve a variety of dishes, from fried rice to zha jiang mian to dumplings! I ordered an eight piece fried dumpling set. There were shrimps in the dumplings which made it a little different from the normal just minced meat ones. They were freshly fried and there was still the crisp in them. chopstick
