Paradise Dynasty  Smile Jun 26, 2011
Categories : Shanghainese | Restaurant | Dim Sum | Noodles

The signature xiao long bao dish at Paradise Dynasty is really good. I was first attracted to the colourful xiao long baos when the dish was served on the table. They come in a total of eight colours, each one representing a unique flavour. There is a combination of ginseng, garlic, cheese and foie gras and more. The sampling basket of all 8 flavours costs $13.90 each.

Mezza9 - Grand Hyatt  Smile Jun 26, 2011

The patisserie corner at Mezza9 Grand Hyatt is fantastic. The cakes (custom made or sold at the bakery) are unique and they taste really delicious. Of course the price doesn’t come cheap either. It costs $50/ kg. I love the strawberries and blueberries toppings on the cake, it gives one a very happy berry feeling. The smooth and silky cream and soft spongy cake keeps one wanting for more.

Ah Balling Peanut Soup - Bedok85 Smile Jun 26, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre | Chinese Soup | Kids-Friendly

For just $2, you can buy a bowl of Ah Balling Peanut Soup at Bedok 85. The soup base is ginger soup which makes a good remedy for flu. The ginger soup is just right on the taste buds. It consists of 5 balls dumplings, choice of sesame or peanut. Both flavours taste as good, pampering your taste buds for more.

Senso Ristorante & Bar  Smile Jun 26, 2011

I highly recommend the food at Senso as the quality of the pasta is really good. I ordered the Ravioli stuffed with braised Veal shank, served with Porcini Mushrooms sauce. It costs $26 for a portion of it. The food is really worth the money as the veal is soft and tender. The ambience at Senso is good for special occasions.

Ah Yat Tian Xia - Orchard Central Smile Jun 26, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Restaurant | Seafood | Kids-Friendly

We went to Ah Yat Tian Xia to celebrate Father’s Day and we ordered quite a number of dishes as there was a credit card promotion. One of the dishes is the Abalone with mushroom and vegetables. The taste of it was succulent and the sauce dressing was just right, bringing out the entire taste of the dish. It costs around $30 per person and I feel the food was worth the money.
