Watami - ION Orchard Cry Nov 23, 2011
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Watami is always such a long wait before the food arrives. At times, I do wonder is the staff being inefficient as there are many staff in the restaurant. The service of the staff is bad. I ordered the bibimbap which took forever to come. The bibimbap tasted average, nothing special. It was a little too spicy and the rice was hard. It costs $12 for the meal.

Hill Street Fried Kway Teow  Cry Jun 28, 2011

Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

I won’t really recommend the char kway teow from this stall. It costs $3 for a plate for char kway teow but all you taste is the kway teow and oil. I feel there is not enough sweet sauce used to fry the plate of char kway teow. There are much better stalls out there.

Mixed Vegetable Rice  OK Jul 29, 2012
Categories : Coffeeshop

Not knowing what to have for dinner, I decided to try the Mixed Vegetable Rice shop since there is always a queue at the shop. I ordered one meat and one vegetable - sweet and sour pork and dou miao. The chicken meat tasted great marinated with the sauce. The price is really cheap as I only paid $2.20 for it inclusive of rice. Probably the food is cheap, that's why there is always a crowd at the shop.

Fun Toast  OK Jul 29, 2012

Categories : Singaporean | Café | Brunch

Fun Toast is located conveniently at OUB Centre Basement 1. The shop serve both food and drinks which makes a good place for meals and to chill. I went there for lunch where I ordered the lemon chicken rice set which costs $6.90. It consist of rice, lemon chicken and watermelon slices. The chicken tasted quite dry and oily while the rice was average. The entire food experience was average.

Katong Fried Oyster  OK Jul 08, 2012
Categories : Hawker Centre

We headed to the Old Airport Road Food Centre and decided to try the Katong Fried Oyster stall as I heard they are famous for their fried oyster. It was resoanbly priced at $5 per plate. It was served piping hot as it was just fried out of the wok. The oyster cake was crispy and moist inside. What was disappointing is the number of oysters as the entire plate had only 3 small oysters.
