We are attracted by the nice romantic and relaxing ambiance with candle light on the table.

I find the pasta that I ordered was not cooked enough, it is still not soft to my taste. The tomato based sauce taste well, not too sour. The chicken breast as this part of the chicken, meat is dry. This is an ok dish if the price is lower.

There is an opening special 15% discount. However UOB card holders get 20% off.
Overall, too expensive for a regular weekday lunch.
This outlet serves All day breakfast too.

old waffle town, great brownie Smile Oct 09, 2013

We are at this shopping mall for some errands and remembered there used to be a waffle town restaurant at the basement.

Vaguely we thought this Wishbone restaurant seemed to be the replacement for the waffle town shop. Decor of the place is retro country style with quite dim lighting. The board outside says they serve waffles during tea time.

However when we are seated the waiter told us waffles machine is spoilt. hence we took up the brownie set for their tea time menu.

The brownie is surprisingly good! and it comes with a selected flavour of ice cream - we picked the gula malaka ice cream.
The ice cream melts rather easily but is super tasty yet not overly sweet, matches well with the warmed soft brownie with nuts.

I will return again if i am in the mall for the brownie again and hopefully their waffle machine is up then.

Duck rice set, value for money! Smile Oct 08, 2013

Categories : Coffeeshop | Roasted Meat

This coffeeshop opposite Bugis Junction's Mos Burger is usually packed and very humid during the day.

I had a quick lunch and tried out the duck rice set. I think the price around $4.50.
The set includes braised duck rice, braised peanuts, braised tou gua (beancurd), half a braised egg, salted veg. Very varied i would say for the price! The chilli goes perfectly with the duck rice and dishes. I also love their complementary (herbal?) soup.

This will not be my last visit I am certain.

This is a must eat stall if you are in douby ghaut!

The signature

comes with fragrant rice with delicious curry gravvy. Piping hot, made-on-the-spot BBQ chicken tight in sweet and tasty dark sauce. Not forgetting the egg and definitely the ikan billis chilli . Even the complimentary soup is yummy!

The chicken meat is smooth, soft and juicy, which matches perfectly with the dark gravvy sauce.

You will not regret Q-ing for it~ enjoy

puggol nasi padang Smile Oct 08, 2013

Categories : Malay

Thinking it was Puggol Nasi LEMAK, we went to this place for lunch on a weekday, only to realised it is Nasi Padang instead.

The shop sells roti prata as well. The prata which I bought on another day for breakfast is yummy. and the texture is chewy!

For this lunch, I ordered the roasted chicken rice. The rice tasted quite 'light'. The chicken meat portion is reasonable. I find the meat a little dry but the taste is not too bad.

Overall, this will be a standard choice for a cheap , fast and not bad meal choice.
