It's the 1st time i'm meeting a new bunch of friends and we decided to meey nearby bedok for a great dinner.

Upon entering the place, i was attracted to the romantic lovely heart on the wine shelf. Soooo lovely!

Neat cosy counter makes the ambiance even better.

Best chicken wings i ever had so far! taste 10 times better than ikea! lolz...

Onion rings taste normal!

Pork ribs is great! But the whipped potato taste even better! Thumb's up! smile

Thin crust crispy pizza is great too!

Time for a warm brownie dessert and......

Soft creep with ice-cream! Oh ya, they make their own ice-cream and have daily different flavours.

It would be better if we had some wine! :-)
We tot of opening a bottle of D'Asti but as we drove, we decided to forgo drink.

Golden Sweet Potato Dumpling Smile Jan 27, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre

Haven been to Maxwell for quite sometimes and decided to drop for some snacks since i'm in the area.
It's reali ages as I didnt even realize that the price increased over the last few months.

Here's my sinful tea break! I still go for my favorite choice of dumplings, 2 with vegetable fillings and somehing new for me to try~ beans.

Veggie~A good combination between the sweet & savory Chewy sweet potato deep fried dough which gave off a mild sweetness when chew. Not only the fillings is salty, the turnip and carrots has a sweetness as well. It's not over powdering with a strong smell of white pepper. Delicious!

Loos cute! Initially i still tot the bean refers to red bean but I was wrong after having the 1st bite. It's actually salty mung beans. I was taken a back and tot the aunty gave me a wrong order. Hmm...unique combi as it was being topped with half a peanu instead of bean. Had 3 flavors in my mouth at 1 time. :chopstic:chopsticchopstickk:k:

Will become my favourite choice sooner or later!tongue

Delicious Vegetarian Meals Smile Jan 27, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Food Court | Vegetarian

There are many ways in cooking vegetarian food and you can get a wide spread of varieties at the kopitiam at TTSH.

Besides the standard mixed vegetarian rice where we get to select veggies and mock meat selections, this stall has other varieties like wanton mee, fish soup, carrot cake etc...

Generous serving of dishes and every dish is so flavourful. Taste very much different from the other vegetarian food at other places.

Wow... can't reali tell the difference if i'm eating vegetarian rice or mixed vegetable rice. Delicious!]

Vegetarian Fish Bee Hoon soup~Another must try dish where I can't find at other place.

Broth is sweet and tasty, with lots of veggie and mushroom to boil the soup base. Mild sour tasty from the boiled tomatoes. Last but not least, plenty of ingredients where i can almost see the bee hoon.

Must Try!

Recommended Dish(es):  Vegetarian Fish Soup,Fried Tofu with special sauce, curry veggie

Cheap Breakfast Smile Nov 23, 2012
Categories : French | Bakery

This is 1 of my favourite bakery where I usually buy my breakfast from. All their bread and buns are selling at $1.10 each. A few of the "seemingly expensive buns like chicken floss, otah, polo bun with char siew etc... are also selling at this cheap rate. WOW... to be frank, initially I was attracted by the reasonable pricing, but after a few visits, seems like being more welcomed by the friendly service staff.

Here's my favourite ham and cheese bun. Looks delicious isn't it? Although it looks common, just like the ham & cheese bun from most bakeries. But.... texture is different.

1stly, the ham isn't that salty.
2ndly, the bun isn't overbaked. The texture is soft and moist, not the dry and stiff type. Can tell that the baker controls the baking time very well.

Besides bread and buns, there are other bakes like pastries, tarts, pies and cakes. Caught sight of these cute little tarts where they are selling at 3 for $1.00. Cool!

Recommended Dish(es):  Potato ham bun, otah bun,

Enjoyable Lunch! Smile Nov 17, 2012
Tucked away from the noisy crowd, Double Spout Cafe is situated in a quiet corner in Heartland Mall. The cafe has a open roof concept where the dining facilities are only separated out by low walls where customers can have a feel enjoying the food in the mall itself, but not within a shop.

This cafe serve fusion cuisine. From western delights like pasta, grilled fish to eastern dishes like hor fun, muifan etc... Most attractive of all is that they do not charge GST or service charge.

A wide variety to choose from...

Even daily promo...

Here's mine, seafood spaghetti with tomato and herbs sauce. Pasta is slightly overcooked, but acceptable. The tangy sauce has a mild herbs taste with sweet and sour tomato bits. $8.90 for a portion with 3 medium prawns and mussels is considered worth the price.

! of my colleague has a seafood aglio olio. Verdict given by her is : not too bad, taste normal like the usual aglio olio.

Another of my colleague had a teriyaki chicken with garlic fried rice. Her verdict: NEVER eat it during lunch time or when you are super hungry. Reason: the waiting time is too long. The chef took more than 20 mins to serve and the reason given is: the chicken thigh is very big, more difficult to cook. But, the overall taste is good as the garlic rice is well fried and the chicken is well grilled.

Here's the bill, a proof where gst and service charge were not charged to us...no wonder this place is popular with students as it's well affordable. Well, i'll be back for more. smile
