Delicious Fried Hokkien Mee Smile Aug 19, 2012

Categories : Singaporean | Coffeeshop | Noodles

1 of the few top best Fried Hokkien Mee ever had! Would rate you 4 and 1/2 chopsticks out of 5.
:chopstic:chopstic:chopstic:chopsticchopstickk:k:k:k:

The minus 1/2 chopsticks was for the chili which spoils the overall taste of the whole dish. In order to savour the original taste, have it without chil.

Simply love the texture of the thick rice vermicelli which are still QQ even frying for awhile. Tough the overall dish may seem wet but the broth are well absorbed by the yellow noodles which aren't soggy at all. Best part is the sweetness and freshness of the broth which totally enhanced the flavour of the dish. Thumbs up! smile

Pearl Milk Tea Smile Jul 20, 2012
Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Sad to say that this is my first time drinking pearl milk tea from Koi Bubble Tea and was taken a back. I've always find their drink too over-rated as some of the popular flavours which i've drank so far, i find them so so only.

To determine whether drinks from a particular bubble tea outlet is worth drinking onot, just by trying their milk tea alone will give u the answer. I reali wondered how come i didnt try the milk tea from koi?

The tea is thick is fragrant, pearls are chewy and not too sweet. Thumb's up! No wonder it's FOREVER long Q. haha..

Delicious Bedok Chwee Kueh Smile Jul 20, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre

The chwee kueh here are reali different and very very much different from the chwee kueh which we usually eat at other place.

The kueh are q and the qq texture does not have a over powdering rice rice taste. And in fact most of these kuehs are pre-ordered from factory. Guess the main selling point will be their cai po where fried chopped shallots and white sesame seeds are added.

It enhanced the overall kueh taste and makes it a superb breakfast! smile

Vegetarian Bee Hoon Smile Jul 20, 2012
Categories : Hawker Centre | Vegetarian

White Vegetarian Bee Hoon has always been a No No for me as it always give me the impression that it's tasteless. It changed my opinion after i had the vegetarian bee hoon from this stall. When I almost complete eating the whole pack, I blurt out '$3.00 for this pack of vegetarian bee hoon is a rare find, delicious and it reali make me change my opinion of .....' and before I can finish my sentence, my brother said : Jie, it's only $2.00.

What?! $2 bucks for a big pack bee hoon with cabbage, char siew and crispy fried goose. The char siew here does not have a 'floury' taste which "inked" a reminder to you that hey, u r eating gluten!

Cheap & Good Curry Rice Smile Jul 20, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Hawker Centre | Curries | Rice

I'm back to this stall for more cheap and good, good and cheap curry rice. I would only eat it whenever i have craving for rice. It's more like a mix and match dishes for you. If u prefer mixed vegetable rice combo, u can opt not to have it serve with curry sauce. Otherwise, u can match and create your fav curry rice combo.

The standard curry rice dishes people would usually select are braised pork belly, porkchop, sambal long beans, fried cabbage, fried batang fish, sotong and the list goes on.

While I would prefer a 1 veggie + 1 meat + 1 others (egg/potato/beancurd) to makes my meal more appealing. The 2 meat + 1 veggie combo is super cheap, only cost $2.80 ....which is the standard price for 2 veggie + 1 meat at other places. See, in a way u earn 1 meat dish! tongue

The curry sauce here is thick and not too "gluey". Taste wise is great too, best of all it does not give u a thirsty feeling after u eat it. Guess, not much msg was added to it. smile
