Not so delicious mixed vege rice! Cry Sep 10, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre

Was super hungry and since I was around the area, decided to have rice for lunch. I walked around the hawker and decided on this stall.
nothing fantastic

nothing fantastic

Verdict: It didn't give mi the feel of wanting to eat it again. The sambal long beans taste avg but the bringal are sour! Rice grains are not too soft and curry sauce is too watery. Total I had 3 vege dishes plus rice at $2.50. The price was quite ex as compared to other places where $2.50 you can get 2 veggie + 1 meat dish and rice.

Minced Pork Fishball Noodles OK Sep 10, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

Had a sudden craving for dry minced meat fishball noodles and since I always eat from "fei siong' , i decided to try noodles from other brands instead.

After walking round the whole food center, seems like this particular looks more 'pro' with their display and signboard. Thus, placed my order.

The noodles taste so so only, nothing too special nor has a WOW factor on the taste besides the normal mee kia tossed with chili sauce, vinegar and fish sauce. BUT... surprisingly no extra charge for adding more noodles ...and its quite a generous portion @ $3.00. smile

Unusual drink ~my saviour!
An unusual ice blended drink to cool off the heat on this hot afternoon. A tropical blend of mango and peach in every mouthful.

Drinks menu available on every table. So convenient!

Thirst quenching series and fizzy series available too...

Wow... redemption prog for the drinks. Much more better than bubble tea.
Firstly, the drinks are unique
2ndly, the gifts are more highclass as compared to free drinks. lolz...I wanna participate! smile

ET Noodles and Fsh Soup Smile Aug 19, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Coffeeshop | Noodles

A new stall opened at The Unusual Coffeeshop. Finally, a noodle stall! Other than selling noodle delights, fish soup and seafood soup are sold here. Hmm... relatively new as it's rather unusual to see noodle stall selling fish soup! Seems like no like. lolz... However, I still insist on trying out.

Generous portion of ingredients and huge serving of noodles. The mushroom minced meat taste slightly unusual. Thin mee kia was used instead of the thicker version of mee kia where other stall usually use. The seasoning is ok, would prefer more vinegar and less chili in future. smile

OMG...the soup broth taste fresh and sweet, super teochew style. smile

Delicious Fried Hokkien Mee Smile Aug 19, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean | Coffeeshop | Noodles

1 of the few top best Fried Hokkien Mee ever had! Would rate you 4 and 1/2 chopsticks out of 5.
:chopstic:chopstic:chopstic:chopsticchopstickk:k:k:k:

The minus 1/2 chopsticks was for the chili which spoils the overall taste of the whole dish. In order to savour the original taste, have it without chil.

Simply love the texture of the thick rice vermicelli which are still QQ even frying for awhile. Tough the overall dish may seem wet but the broth are well absorbed by the yellow noodles which aren't soggy at all. Best part is the sweetness and freshness of the broth which totally enhanced the flavour of the dish. Thumbs up! smile
