such a coincidence to run into a fren when I was doing my rounds in Toa Payoh. My fren went there for a facial and we decided to find a nice place for catchup.

Walked all the way from the Library to HDB hub and ended up in OrangeTee Building where this bistro caugh out attention. Initially we thought it was a pub and after walking 1 round, we decided to sit outside on the huge comfortable sofa seats.

Great ambiance with live entertainment.. 1 playing a guitar and the other singing.

I need caffeine to perk me throughout the long night so I ordered a cappuccino. lolz...

Grilled Chicken with rosemary sauce ~ perfectly cooked where the chicken is not tough nor dry and the outer layer is crispy and slightly charred. Well marinated and taste great even without the sauce. I don't really like the sauce as it taste thick and floury... I would still prefer a brown sauce to go with chicken chop.

Coffee n Cake Smile Dec 08, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Coffeeshop

This is 1 of the best place in Kovan to drink hot coffee on a cold rainy day. 1 of the reason is that the aircon here is not that strong (wondering how come as it's a centralise aircon system within the shopping mall)

I ordered a peanut butter cake to go with my coffee. It's the old skool butter cream cake we seldom get to see it bakeries. Crunchy peanut butter spread between 1 think layer of sponge cakes, top with a layer of light butter cream. Yummy...

Hot smooth kopi c to satisfy my addict!mad

Ice Cream Cake OK Dec 08, 2013

What are your views on ice cream cakes? Well, during our primary school days, we would always look forward to eating ice cream cake instead of cakes for Birthday or Teacher's Day as it was something unique, different from what we usually eat.

Tab's family bought 3 cakes for her 30th birthday and out of these 3 cakes, 2 were ice cream cake.

Quite a pretty cake!

To be frank, we would prefer to eat Swensen's ice cream rather than the ice cream cake as the texture of the cake is not as smooth. Frozen cakes tends to be hard but this cake's texture is course, which is why we would prefer to eat the ice-cream. Overall verdict: Not that fantastic though...

Pizza n Pasta Smile Nov 25, 2013

Was at Hougang Mall shopping for some winter wear and before we continue our shopping, we decided to settle down for a quick dinner.

we had a seafood ring served with mayonnaise. It's actually deep fried breaded calamari. Golden brown rings where the it's crispy yet oily, texture of the squid inside is not chewy and not toughg. I like it! smile

Our all time favourite carbonara!
Pasta~ springy and not hard
Sauce~ creamy, full of bacon taste
Bacon~ crispy and not salty
Overall~ great taste where 1 can finish the whole plate alone without feeling disgusted!

Chicken Pesto Pizza!
I would say Thumb's up for the pizza here. It's my 1st time eating their pizza and I'm truly impressed. Generous toppings on the super crispy thin crust. My fren is a member and we get to upgrade our pizza to large size for free. However, in order to avoid food wastage as we worry we can't finish, we decided to stay put.

Our dining experience~ Great!

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Coffeeshop | Roasted Meat

Went to our usual place for lunch with a colleague and I love the roasted delight from this stall, especially the roasted chicken rice, roasted duck and noodles. I've tried the salted veggie duck soup before... the soup is considered cheap and good for a mere $2.50.

I don't mind eating from the same stall again even thought i ate their noodles the day before...Who cares as I was having strong crave for roasted duck. Lolz...
Roasted Duck Rice

Roasted Duck Rice

$3.00 for a plate of roasted duck rice is considered reasonable.

Roasted duck: Crispy fat duck but not oily...well roasted with a nice shade of shiny brown.
Love the salty spices rubbed on the underneath layer of duck.

Dumpling Noodle

Dumpling Noodle

$3.00 for a plate of dumpling noodles. Wow... sound reasonable ya?! A plate of noodles come with some veggie and 3 huge boiled dumplings with lots of shrimps and crunchy black fungus. Every bite is filled with sweetness of the prawns and meat. Yummy!
