Disappointing Taro Pie Cry Mar 31, 2013
Categories : American | Fast Food | Ice Cream and Gelato | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

Mcdonald's has a new pie in town. I can be considered as a pie lover as I love all sorts of pies. Especially my love for Mcdonald's apple pie and pineapple pie. the pineapple pies are available only during CNY so it's a once a year affair whereas the apple pie is 24/7.

Now, since there's a new pie, i though it's worth trying.

However, it was a huge disappointment for me. The taro comes in chunks and they taste so "fake". Taste more like starch pieces kneaded with light violet coloring, and cooked in sugar syrup. Totally OFF. Haiz...but the pie skin is acceptable as it taste exactly like the outer layer of apple pie. (Coz they are using the same recipe)

Well, paid $1.00 to buy an experience is considered cheap. lolz...

Oh...am so happy and excited and boss came into office with tea-break for us. And the reason why I'm excited and happy about is that the egg tarts are from my favorite stall. It's can be considered 1 of the top 5 within my list of egg tarts in Singapore (or was it perhaps I have yet to try the most delicious tarts?!0

Crust~ flakey, buttery, layers and layers of super thin puffs.
Fillings~ soft, tender, Q, custard taste, mild sweet and delicious.

Gotto eat while hot and it leaves a fragrance after taste make u wish that you could have more! smile

Coffee Break OK Mar 31, 2013

Categories : Café

I was in the vicinity for a course and juz before training starts, I dropped by this cafe for a quick dose of caffeine. !st time trying the hot kopi as I usually opt for the iced kopi.

If I'm not wrong its either they changed their coffee powder recently as it taste different (more like instant coffee) and its not as aromatic as the cold version.

Simply loved the iced coffee where its thick, creamy and not too sweet~~~its gonna be my next choice. smile

SUSHI.... Smile Mar 29, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Getting tired of eating the same heavy meals for lunch everyday...had a change for lunch and decide to choose smaller serving food. These little ones may look " not filling at all" but...never belittled them as they do contain rice afterall.

This particular Edo Sushi outlet has been around the mall for years... and they do have they supporters even though there 's another sushi booth/ stall in Cold Storage within the same shopping center. Personally...I would still prefer their sushi as compared to others. !stly, on the varieties of sushi available in few pcs. 2ndly,on the texture of the rice grains.

Here's my all time favourite California Handroll.

everything is nice about this handroll, except 1 thing that I find of a hassle will be removing the plastic sheet around the nori sheet. Sooo.... troublesome, i'm someone who doesn't reali like to dirty my hands. Haiz...but no choice, in order to maintain the crispiness of the nori sheet, it has to be wrap around and customers to remove it just before eating. Erm...suggest not to eat in office else it's gonna be terror. lolz...

Another of my favourite since childhood. Crabmeat mayo sushi.Nice nice...

Coffee n Toast Smile Mar 29, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Coffeeshop

The Toast Box at this outlet became my current favourite "la kopi" relax place. Within this shopping area, there are a few supermarkets for me to do marketing / shopping and before any of these "chores", i would tuck myself in a cosy corner and enjoy my favourite kopi c and toast.

The coffee has a rich aroma, smooth and not too sweet. A good dose for coffee addict like me.

Among all the different kinda toasts, I like the otah toast BEST. Otah is not too spicy, has a mild lemongrass and spices taste, toasted to the correct texture under the rite temperature, hence it's not too dry on the bread. Yummy~licious! smile

I'm gonna try out the cakes and main course next time round!
