almond jelly? Smile Mar 31, 2012

I love the pudding-like beancurd at lao ban! Tried the original one a few days ago and i came back for the almond flavoured one. Personally, i prefer the original one as it bring out the fragrance of soy bean. The almond flavour is too overwhelming that it stole the limelight of the soy bean. Of course, the taste is good too but i would cast my vote for the original one.

swiss roll for breakfast Smile Mar 29, 2012

Had some mini swiss roll for breakfast. it’s really soft and it’s not too sweet. Price is reasonable and service is pretty ok. No complains thus far and worth trying! Their sugar roll is my all time favourite. Cakes.. a little lacking though.. as for the puff.. depends on whether it is fresh. but overall, it's highly recommended!

cheap and nice!  Smile Mar 28, 2012

Cheap and nice vegetarian food! Great service as well. The aunty is very cute. She never fails to joke with her customer despite the high human volume.

Food is pretty nice. Most of her dishes is better than the other vegetarian stall in amoy except for her curry vegetable. She also sells curry puff and other vegetarian snacks as well.

One bad thing is that the place is always crowded. very hard to find seats but it's worst waiting. Highly recommended!

be prepared to wait Smile Mar 28, 2012

Western food at an affordable price. 1 main dish served with 2 side dish cost around $8. Taste of food is not bad and serving is generous. Perhaps they can add more seats as the queue is really long. Had to wait for more than half an hour before getting a seat.
I have to mention the bad service! The staff don’t smile or greet customers. Instead, they showed sign of annoyance and frustrations. I also find it ridiculous that 3 couples get to go in before our group of 6 when there’s 6 tables ( side by side ) available. Perhaps this is the reason why they do not charge GST. They shouldn’t. They don’t deserve it!

A very classy place selling western cuisine. Burgers fries and CAKES!! Tried their strawberry cheesecake. A thin layer of spongecake, topped with a thick layer of cream cheem. Nicely presented with fresh strawberry cube and a digestive biscuit. Nice and creative presentation. $8.90 each. Its expensive but worth a try!
