It’s considerably cheap, considering the location and ambience. Their main dishes come with two free sides and there’s no GST. It’s a good place to have meal, gathering or a small chat. Food served is not too bad as well. Though i was a little disappointed with the lemon lime chicken i ordered, Aston’s is still a good dining place.

drumlet Smile Jan 02, 2012

After several recommendations from my friend, i decided to try their drumlet. It’s $4.50 for 5. Price is considered reasonable. the chicken is well marinated and it’s very crispy ( they fry it when you order, unlike some shops where they just reheat when customer order). However, i don’t really like their chilli sauce. I can’t describe it but i think the drumlet tasted bette without the sauce. service crew is polite and thus highly recommended.

desserts light up my day Smile Sep 18, 2011

Went there to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I ordered an ice cream with strawberry sauce and a macaroon. Forgot the exact name. The macaroon was too sweet to my liking. As for the ice-cream, it’s just normal ice-cream? Nope, not really. The strawberry sauce did gain alot of marks! Very appetising and tasty. The biscuit crumbs added also improved it’s texture. Apart from the smooth ice-cream, there’s also something crunchy to bite. The price is reasonable especially when we had a 50% voucher. Recommended!

Bought a box of 4-double egg yolk white lotus seed paste mooncake for this year’s mooncake festival. Nice packaging! Very classical, does remind me of the olden days. The lotus paste is quite smooth and not too sweet. Would be better is the egg yolk is more oily. For a person who doesn’t have a special liking for egg yolk, single egg yolk would be enough. Overall, the mooncake have a special taste, possibly due to the oil they used. Worth trying, reminisce of the past!
