chicken rice meal OK Jul 13, 2011

Categories : Hainanese | Coffeeshop | Chicken Rice

I like this chicken rice meal. Although i packed it home, they still let me pack the soup for free! and they are clever enough to use all the chicken bones to cook the ground nuts soup which is very sweet. So left the chicken meat boneless which is quite special i think. And this is why their shop name is called boneless chicken rice!

The rice is very fragrant as they use chicken oil and ginger to cook it i guess. Lovely!

honeymoon desert OK Jul 13, 2011

Nice sweet potato with ginger soup dessert! Tummy was not feeling well and once i had this steaming hot dessert soup, i felt better. Perhaps it's because of the ginger. Sweetness just nice for me meaning not too sweet and not the ginger used also not too much. However the sweet potato medium soft though. I would prefer a softer sweet potato.

All in all it's still a good traditional dessert!

Breadtalk is celebrating their 11th Anniversary, so all buns selling at S$1.10 until 14th july only! Bought the floss bun and cheese croissant.

The floss bun seems to be having less floss today sad not sure because price lower then less floss?!!

Cheese croissant is good though. Not too much cheese and salty.Bread is soft and crispy. Just nice to start off my day with! smile

Dessert after dinner! OK Jul 08, 2011

Tried few times in Hong Kong before and it's good! so decided to try the singapore branch as well.

The red bean soup ( hot) is not as tasty and sweet though. Feel that sago and the skin of mandarin orange is missing that left the soup not so tasty. Also the beans are not cooked until crushed.

the other dessert called " tong but lat" kind of dumpling ball but without fillings inside it served with peanuts on top also " so so" only. They are not generous in the peanuts serving.

This time i tried the mains - Oven baked Atlantic sea bass with fennel and orange salad, Niçoise vinaigrette. Followed by their Degustation plate of desserts which consists of
Warm chocolate cake, profiterole, Crème Brulée and strawberry sorbet.

For the seabass it's too salty for me actually. But the fish is fresh though. Highlight would be the dessert! Simply yummy as it's a miniature combination of all their signature desserts! A perfect combination of sweet and sour dessert to end the meal as you won't feel too full after that! at least it applies to me ! haha.
