Christmas log cake from Jack's place! Already in the mood to celebrate christmas and new year!

This hazelnut logcake was quite good. Well decorated with all the santa claus, snowman etc...so nice that it's a pity to even cut the logcake! A lot of cream on the surface and quite fattening i guess...but once in a year it's ok! Taste wise also ok. Not too sweet and just nice for me

Craving for ippudo ramen again! Went there for lunch and as usual, have to queue for at least 45minutes - 1 hour...

Had never ordered their side dishes before except the salad. So today ordered their Ippudo Pork Bun where there's a star beside it...i suppose it should be one of the chef recommendations. It's actually a steamed bun with braised pork and ippudo original sauce. To me their so called original sauce tasted a bit sour and just like mayonnaise to me. Pork meat is tender but frankly speaking i still prefer the chinese style version of " kan bak pao" !

Another Malaysian friend of mine just came to work in Singapore, so me and hubby brought her to try out this restaurant.

As per usual we ordered their XO fish noodle, Hong Kong Kai Lan, Prawn paste fried chicken. However today since there are more people, so we ordered the prawn spring rolls too which we don't normally do.

Their XO fish noodle, Hong Kong Kai Lan and prawn paste fried chicken were still up to standard and delicious. This time i wish to comment on prawn spring rolls instead. Surprisingly it was as good as the rest of the dishes too! It's something like "ngor hiong". The prawn meat inside was well marinated and i can smell a mixture of spices too. Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Good.

We had a few colleagues whose birthday in December month! So we celebrated for them and bought a cake from Awfully Chocolate.

This is the " Chocolate Rum & Cherry" cake. The dark pitted cherries laced with rum in their chocolate cake is really yummy-licious! All chocolate lovers will love this fully loaded and rich chocolate cake! They have two sizes :

This time i brought my parents to try out this zi char place after bringing so many friends and relatives here

we ordered their assam fish. Fish was fresh and cooked just nice combined with the assam cooking, it's just too good to resist that my dad and hubby ended up ordering extra bowl of rice!

Marmite chicken was good too as the " wok hei" was really good enough to make it so fragrant when served.

once again i'm very satisfied with this zi char place. Although wait is unavoidable, but it's worth the time not to mentioned it's also reasonably priced!
