Mixed vegetable rice OK Nov 10, 2013
Categories : Food Court

Brought a plate of the mixed vegetable rice from this stall which includes the stir fried cauiflower
with chinese wolfberry, deep fried chicken cutlet and the salted egg with beancurd. Firstly, the stir fried cauiflower is pretty well cooked, has a crunchy texture and seasoning wise is quite sufficient. Next the deep fried chicken cutlet has a very nice golden brown colour, crispy skin and tender texture. Marination wise is also sufficient and not too salty. Lastly the salted egg with beancurd is quite a simple dish. With the bland beancurd, the salted egg add a salty taste when eaten together. Overall, quite a tasty mixed vegetable rice from this stall and the curry gravy has a nice aroma and goes well with the rice. [Review from mobile]

Satay OK Nov 10, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre

After our lunch at the clementi food market, I have decided to take away some satay home for extra
dishes. Firstly, the satay is well grilled and cooked, does not have any burnt sign. The chicken satay is
well marinated and also has a tender texture. It is also quite fragrance due to the addition of the
pork lard in between the meat. As for their satay sauce, it is not too oily, the consistency is there not
too watery and generous amount of the peanut bits is added. The satay sauce goes very well with
the chicken satay as well as the sliced cucumber. Apart from satay, this stall also sells bak gua which
is quite popular during the lunar Chinese new year period. [Review from mobile]

Brought a plate of the wanton noodle for lunch at this kopitiam.
This plate of wanton noodle has a acceptable presentation which can be improved. As for the taste wise, the noodle is well seasoned, not too salty, the spicy level is not too hot but the sauce is quite oily. The noodle is well cooked and has a soft and QQ texture. Next the char siew is well grilled and has a soft and tender texture. A bowl of soup containing 3 mini wanton is also inlcuded. The soup has a light peppery taste and not oily. As for the wanton, it has a soft and smooth skin with meat fillings in it. Price is quite reasonabe at $2.50 per plate.

You mian OK Sep 11, 2012

Categories : Food Court | Chinese Soup

Brought a bowl of the you mian from this stall at kou foo.
I was quite impress by the speed that they prepared this bowl of you mian in about less than 5 minutes time. The soup base is well boiled and seasoned and has a light ikan bills fragrance. As for the noodle, it has a soft and QQ texture and would prefer it to be cook for a bit longer time. Ingredients such as the vegetable and the minced pork are well cooked, but given in a small portion. Overall, quite a normal you mian, taste wise is acceptable and it cost $3.30 per bowl.

Western food OK Sep 11, 2012

Brought several side dish and main dish for dinner with family members.
One of the side dish we ordered includes the half boiled egg salad with includes several vegetables, croutons and the half boiled egg with the italian dressing. Taste quite normal with a bit of crunchy texture of the croutons. Next the seafood platter is actually a complimentary dish as a part of their membership privillege. The seafood platter consists of the baked mussel, button mushroom, deep fried mushroom and the yakitori chicken. Taste wise is also quite normal, nothing special and the ingredients used are fresh. Overall, I think that their standards has dropped as compared to the previous time. Price start from $11.90 for a salad.
