LOR MEE Cry Jun 05, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

I had joined the long queue of wei nan wang hock kian lor mee because i thought it will be nice. However, it didn't not turn out to be what i expected. There is fried meat ball in it which i dislike the most. It is not crispy and there is a slight sour taste. There was pork added too which is quite special. But i didn't really it as it was too hard to chew on. The sauce was nothing special, not very nice. I guess the long queue must be due to the price as it only costs $2.00 per bowl.

Cho Kee Wanton noodles!  Cry Jun 03, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

There are 2 wanton noodles stalls side by side each other and i have been wanting to review them since my office is just located nearby! I took my colleague's recommendation to try cho kee but i must say the stall owner really has a loud voice, not too friendly thoughhuffy Then come the food, i was served 15 minutes later after i ordered, i realize is not because of the long queue is because they are working very slowly, each queue number will take 3 minutes before they served the other customers. The char siew was very hard to bite on and the wanton was very small, you can placed 2 together in one mouth. The noodles was the worse ever, it was not chewy and a little hard.

Fan guo  Cry Jun 03, 2013

I had brought 2 extra "fried beng kueh" back to office for tea and it was a wrong decision. The kueh was cold and the whole plastic bag was oily (you can see from the pictures). Tt costs $1.40 in total which is cheap. The kueh was cooked for sometimes that why i turned cold but the most disappointing part is that the rice inside the kueh was well cooked, some part was a bit harder and sticked to my teeth. I seriously will not buy it again!sad

Monday blues Cry May 28, 2013

The only reason that i ordered this stall is because I saw the openrice sticker on their stall. Honestly, is a disappointment, the food they served does not depict what how is supposed to be look like on the signboard. But since i had already ordered, i had no choice but to stop been fussy and eat the food. Then here come the next disaster, the pork meat taste sour (as good as spoil)! I can't be bothered to continue anymore. sad The sunny side up they fried was too oily and they poured too much soy sauce over. In the end, I just left the whole plate there and stopped eating. There goes my lunch as i got no more time to queue for other food! huffy

Disappointed Chicken Cry May 27, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre

I ordered a set meal for my lunch. To my dismay, this is by far one of the worst chicken wing I have tasted. The flour used for the chicken wing is too thick and the chicken wing feels as though it was fried repeatedly. The chicken wing tastes bland. As for the cabbage and the egg, they taste normal. Another point I will like to make is that the food are served cold even the rice isn't hot. I will not come back to the stall ever again.
