This hotel international lunch buffet is so worth the price!  Their durian fugde cake and all those durian items are so awesome and delicious that I cannot help not taking the second price. Their seafood such as losbter is a must try! It is so sweet and fresh. They serve teh tarik that is as good as those made in traditional indian store. But not all food is nice, like the omettle(on the above picture) is not that recommended. The total price for 2 person is $113, however, there is 20% discount for POSB and DBS card. Although is still quite expensive, but for the ambience and the food it worth the price.

TADA! Here is my first pepper lunch dinner at JEM! smile There is a super long queue during dinner time, so my friend and I actually queue for 15minutes before,we get to order our food. The staff there were all very polite and passed me a table number card before I get in to assure that i do not have to wait for any seat. I like concept of pepper lunch; make the payment at the cashier then process into the stall to wait for your food.

Well, when I first step in, my first reaction was "WOW", this is not the usual pepper lunch outlets, the design of the store and cleanliness is far better and nicer than the other store. It was also much more spacious as compare to the other outlets.

Next is the food I ordered, it took around 7-8 minutes to serve my food, which i think is alright as there is a lot of people in the stall. I ordered Chicken pepper rice with pepper as i am not a pepper lover and on top of that, I topped up $3 for a drink and side dish (which i choose the salad).

I was served with my salad and peach tea first which waiting for my main dish. The salad was nice especially with the sesame oil that they provided, there was also some cheese spread on top, which leaves a strong cheesy aftertaste. The vegetable are all very crunchy and juicy, just that the cherry tomato was slightly too sour.

The iced peach tea was also nice, but I guess it was just some syrup drink. Lastly, my chicken pepper rice came with no pepper. I poured a honey mustard on it. The chicken was soft and well cooked but I think it was marinated with pepper, so there were some peppery taste. The sizzling hot plate actually cause some of my rice to turn charred but is still nice.

Total i spent $12.50 for my dinner with main dish, drink and dessert! smile

This is the best soon kuey I had ever eaten in my life. I guess this is another nice food store that was not been discovered by the media. No poster, no advertisement, but there is a long long queue.
I heard from my grandmother that the skin of the soon kuey was one of the hardest part to made and it also determine the overall taste of the soon kuey. This store made made the skin so thin but it is able to hold the ingredients of the soon kuey. AMAZING! They also sell ben kuey (which I think is also one of the best dish), however I didn’t get a chance to try it cause mostly are reserve by their customers.

BEST CHEESE CAKE EVER Smile Jul 31, 2013

This Avocado cheesecake is around 7 plus per slice. It is the best cheese cake I ever eat. The base was made by chocolate biscuit that taste like kit kat. The cheese is light, hence, you will not feel disgusting after finishing up the whole slice of cake. I have been there 4 times but only the 1st visit I manage to try this cheese cake. Why? Only if someone ordered this cheesecake then the owner will do extra to sell. Depends on your luck. Another thing the ambiene is cosy and relaxed! smile

Ramen champion  Smile Jun 02, 2013

I went to bugis plus for lunch and decided to try out ramen champion. The host will passed you a card at the entrance so that whatever you ordered will be reflected on the card and you will have to make payment only at the exit.

The concept of the restaurant was different. it is actually make up of 6 different stores and each store will have different chairs and tables for identification. I had tried the Special Tonkotsu Ramen from stall Aoyama. I am really in love their soup based, it was creamy and my friend like the slice of pork which he said that it was very soft and tender. I regretted mixing the whole bowl of noodles as I don't know that the red colour sauce on the bowl was chilli! There goes my soup! sad I should had scooped up beforehand.
