NUH swee heng Smile Jun 26, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Bakery

I was quite amazed that there was actually a Swee Heng available in NUH. I bought a Ham pork floss seaweed roll!
It was really nice and a right to choose if you didn't want your stomach. I like the savoury taste of it especially the floss mixed with the seaweed. A little salty and a bit sweet, best combination of the world. It think it was just baked thus it left a soft texture of the bread and that can be bite easily. However, it will taste better with more pork floss in it.

Iced Tea @ Ya Kun OK Jun 26, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Coffeeshop

Download Pickat SG to redeem a free cup of ice coffee or ice tea. There is only 30,000 cups for free.

I had visited my nearer store at Jurong point today to redeem my ice tea and it was an awesome experience. The tea was as sweet as i expected but there is a strong tea taste that leave behind a astringency aftertaste. I think elderly will prefer it more than the youngster. I was with my Mum and she really loved it, and one of that my mum ordered a kaya cracker (2 for $1.60) whose price was marked up, I think. I did not find anything special about it, it tasted normal mainly because it was kaya and butter spread on the cracker. sad

milo peng!  OK Jun 26, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre

I ordered iced milo while taking a short break before continuing with my work. Well, I must say that this iced milo was not very sweet; however, it was not diluted as compared to some other stalls. This makes me conclude that they didn't add a lot of sugar but they added sufficient milo powder to maintain the strong taste, which I like. This will also be prefer among the elderly especially when not so much sugar is added to their drink. Each cup of iced milo costs $1.30! It wasn't very crowded too. So you are get a seat easily.

Grass jelly at Jcube OK Jun 26, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Food Court

This is my cup of Grass Jelly Drink at JCube's kopitiam. It costs $1.50. Well, I think they added too much syrup as it was so sweet. I could not stand the sweetness. But I want to eat the glass jelly, and they provided me a spoon for me to scoop up. The ice given just right but I found it too sweet and I went to ask for more ice so that it will help to dilute the drink. On top of that, i think it is best not to go on a Saturday or a Sunday as it will very hard to get a seat in the coffee shop! sad

Ramen @ Ajisen Cry Jun 26, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Ramen | Kids-Friendly

I ordered there Miso Char Shu Ramen Set which costs $14.90 without GST and service charges. It was a great disappointment especially the ramen. Well, first i had to say that the ramen soup base tasted like plain water. I paid $1 more for the miso and yet it turned out to be like that. Next the noodles was so hard, i wondered it was properly cooked a not. Then comes the char shu meat added to the ramen, worst ever i had eaten, it was as hard as biting onto rock! I give up in the end. The ice lemon was also, so not recognize to go back again. Only the fried dumplings were nice.
