Calamari Rings OK Sep 22, 2011
Categories : Taiwanese

Walking around the area and was feel peckish as usual...
Wanted to try something new...

Never had Calamari Rings before...
Was kinda terrified (it's hard to ensure that u dont over/under cook it)

Not bad though, but... there's not enough flavour and flour~

Kinda like my fried food to be more crispy >_<

Thai Food OK Sep 22, 2011

Having great delicious authentic thai food in singapore is so far, a challenge for me...
I have ate at many places, but somehow, it seems to still be as disappointing...

Love their crackers that they serve although i have to pay for them :/
A perfect blend of the pepper-ish taste with that perfect crisps...

Generally speaking, their food will appeal to locals and not as authentic as i would have liked them to be.... still lacks something, spice maybe?

Chiffon Varieties  OK Aug 19, 2011

Was walking around bugis and feeling abit peckish... madmadmad

Saw the chiffon rolls and cakes and was tempted to try them...
Prices are below $2...

Bought the apple and lemon flavored rolls~
The apple one was quite good as it has some 'real' apples in it and gave it a crunchy feel...
Sweetness was alright...
The lemon one was a little pricey... as there wasn't much of a lemon taste...

Eye Opening Experience OK Aug 04, 2011

It was kinda of a random idea to go to the restaurant as my mum had a voucher that was due soon. Since it is a family day thing (Every first Sunday of the month) so we thought... why not? tongue

The environment was great and there are many activities there that is family friendly...
Kids can go over there to try out catching fishes along a lake and bring them home, whereas adults/couples might wanna try going there for prawn-ing~

Besides that, there's a Chinese restaurant and Japanese restaurant available too~
We went to the Chinese Restaurant this time round~

It was a little under my expectations as the environment was an excellent choice for fine dinning~

We ordered their special dish called the Beggar Chicken~
As it was quite a unique presentation whereby it was served covered in some hard light brown material (clay maybe?) and the server would use a hammer to break it apart before serving it to out table.

However, aside from the unique presentation, the dishes were rather average nothing too different from what u can find in other Chinese restaurants.

Good place to go if u have relatives over from overseas, large family gathering or even for a simple family time lol
